ferretti 5,808
You and I is her best written song in my book. Followed by Bad Romance, Edge of Glory, Diamond Heart, Speechless, most of Born This Way/Monster, etc. disco stick tester, inquire within

Well, she did backing vocals for it and was a writer of the track. It's an obvious tfm outtake along the lines of "no way" and "second time around". Ziggy 10,359
I think TFM has the best pop songs, hands down. They're so well-crafted and executed perfectly. It improves upon the great material of The Fame but since its shorter it doesn't have any songs with cringey lyrics. Born This Way has the best singular lines like the bridge to The Queen. Joanne has, to me, the best overall songwriting. It's just all there and none of the lines take you out of the song by their corniness unlike, say, the bridge on Boys Boys Boys. Even if they aren't your favorite, Joanne is a mark of improved songwriting especially when you keep in mind the timeframe with which she wrote this. Each song sounds pretty unique

bloody g 31,731
Applause verses, ARTPOP (song), the later part of Joanne (Come To Mama, Sinner's Prayer, etc.), Bloody Mary. Don't lynch me but I think Gaga was inspired the most during ARTPOP 『𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝』
