Little Monsters, get ready to put some paws up... literally! Lady Gaga announced today that she'll be launching a puppy product line, which will include fashion, organic food, and accessories.
The big announcement was made by Mother Monster's puppy Asia on Instagram, who "stole" her mom’s phone for the day. "I love to eat while I sketch my ideas for the fashionable puppy line I'm starting," Gaga posted on behalf of Asia. "I get hooked up with the finest in puppy products, so I really have a knack for what’s quality. My vision is to find creative and functional ways for pets and their owners to bond!"
In another post, she announced that the line will also include organic dog food: "Organic grain-free local farm ingredients are the best for our body and brain. That’s what I eat! That’s why I’m inspired to also create A Pet Food Line."
Finally, Asia wrote: "I can't speak, but I try my piggy best to show 'Thank you' and 'I love you' with my eyes. Every dog is forever a puppy and should be loved like one."
According to Billboard, Lady Gaga will serve as creative visionary and artistic director for the collection of chic and fashionable apparel, bowls, toys and accessories.
"This is not just about crazy outfits for dogs,” Gaga's manager Bobby Campbell said. “It’s about giving pet parents and pet owners a fun and creative way for protecting their pets, as well as fun clothes to display on Instagram (because Gaga loves doing that)."
He added that a portion of proceeds from the collection will go to “locally-based organizations that do great work with real pets,” specifically grassroots organizations that do not have the funds larger that national ones do.
