With Election Day rapidly approaching, Lady Gaga has made it clear that, in her mind, Donald Trump is unfit to lead the United States. The singer-songwriter, who places compassion at the helm of her worldview, recently chatted with the hosts of Japan's News Zero about her vision for America, making it clear that it is one of unity.
"I think that the best thing we can do is unite the country as much as possible," Gaga explained. "Our Republican candidate has done, unfortunately, a good job of dividing the country in order to promote his campaign. And what needs to be done now is that we need to come together with compassion, and love, and dignity as a country and restore democracy and everything that our country is about which is welcoming people and taking care of them, giving them an opportunity."

Drawing from her own experience as a public figure, Gaga said that she knows Donald Trump is running for the benefit of the country, but for the benefit of his own ambition. "Because I am 'celebrity,' I have insight into the type of person Donald Trump is. And the truth is that we know that he's an actor and this is an act," she added.
She continued: "We are standing with her not just because she's far superior as the choice for president, but we're also standing with her because it would be a complete disaster to elect someone who's essentially a political imposter."
