Lorde says she has rediscovered her love for Lady Gaga in a series of tweets praising Mother Monster's 2009 performance of "Viva La Vida" as "one of the greatest moments ever."
"I think Lady Gaga's Live Lounge from 2009 where she sang 'Poker Face' and 'Viva la Vida' is one of the greatest pop moments ever," the young pop star wrote on Saturday evening. "I remember watching that aged 12 or 13 and feeling totally blessed, like I had been given something very special. The hat! The teacup!"
She continued: "Seeing a young woman so confident in her skill and the power of her star was/is the most inspiring feminist badass punk thing ever. And she's forgetting the words to 'Viva la Vida,' and making them up, but it's perfect, and 12-year-old me is falling in love all over again."

Back in 2013, Lady Gaga named Lorde her favorite new artist and praised the New Zealand-born singer for her artistic integrity. "I would say my favourite new artist right now is Lorde," she told Ryan Seacrest. "She has her own style and she does her own thing, and I like it when I see someone who has a strong sense of themselves."
