I have felt the same way I really miss the times she was the young beautiful superstar who wore crazy high fashion couture and made amazing pop music Not that she isn’t young and beautiful anymore She was just so passionate about bringing the super fan back and talking about art and how pop music and culture wasn’t just shallow sellouts but actually pop music would never be low brow It just kinda feels like she has given up that persona and those ideas which we thought were her, to be this soccer mom who runs a makeup company But she will ofc always be Lady Gaga, i just miss the old her. Yes i know shes the same person, i miss the way she was in 2009-2014 and before everybody attacks me “sHe HaS mAtUrReD!!!” yes i knowbut you are also quite mature when you are 27-28

I'm sorry for Gaga for having an awful team. Sorry but those are fact. Song has been there for a year. A YEAR. And what did they do? Nothing. What are they doing now? Nothing. This whole situation is frustrating. Imagine Gaga dropping this last year when it was supposed to come originally.. People would be so shook.. Now Dua is doing the same thing but this (IMO) is 100x better than Dua’s songs..

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this interpretation makes no sense to me. Why compare Gaga to current music trends? Is that really what some of you want from her? If you look at what's 'in' at the moment - chart hits are either urban or 'whisper pop'. If Gaga doesn't sound current it's because she isn't pandering to minimalism, which she should never do. Gaga is a classic pop star. She SINGS and she's bold and she's brash. Even with ASIB, she SANG. And perhaps, in today's music scene, that style might be described as 'dated' - but it isn't. It's just something that is no longer prevalent on the charts - it's a totally timeless style, though; it's true, vocally-powered pop music... and the world has been missing that for a long, long time. I mean, which artists really sing on their tracks anymore? Even Ariana stopped with the impressive notes, and is now drowned out by 'modern' production. Personally, I'd rather 'dated' if 'dated' means boldness, energy and excitement - not whispery minimalism. I, also, kind of question how a typical Gaga track couldn't be 'dated' - by some people's definitions of that cliche, not mine - and yet still be a Gaga track you all love. Because, if by dated you mean Gaga's typical style; the style she's famous for and is so great at - how couldn't a big pop banger not be dated when pop bangers are no longer 'on-trend'? Gaga's sound, right from the very start, was 'dated' by that measure. At the end of the day, Gaga is a 33-year-old pop superstar who shouldn't converge her style to current trends. She should evolve her sound (which she has always done) - but releasing a chart-chasing, whispery pop-trap record is *so* beneath her imo. /rantover, lol.

Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Gaga, Pink and Kesha cleared the way for women in the 2010s: The way these six artists weathered the music industry's shifts defied conventional wisdom about how women in the spotlight can hold on to their status. Lady Gaga kicked off the decade with the audacious “Born This Way,” which included powerhouse singles, like the Clarence Clemons-assisted "The Edge of Glory" and the drama-heavy "Marry the Night.” But on its followup, 2013’s “ARTPOP,” she seemed to lose the plot, its halfhearted songs backed by her puddle-deep proclamations of being a serious artist. This foray into performance-piece gibberish wound up being a perfect setup for her rise back into capital-a Authenticity, though, beginning with 2016’s “Joanne,” which wasn’t as countrified as the pink 10-gallon hat she wore on its cover implied but which did contain a couple of stirring piano ballads. Her efforts at remaking herself then crested with the 2018 remake of "A Star Is Born," which contained the world-conquering power ballad "Shallow." Those triumphs — as well as her collaborative record with Tony Bennett and her Las Vegas residency "Enigma," both of which showcased her ability to channel old-school crooners — put the indulgent “ARTPOP” era far in the rear view mirror. (She's also franchised her name with her Amazon-distributed makeup line Haus.) More: https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/taylor-swift-beyonc-rihanna-gaga-pink-kesha-cleared-way-women-ncna1107886
