This is absurdly close now. Close enough that the answer has changed from what it would have been a few months ago. As of Kworb's latest update (Aug. 26): BIRDS OF A FEATHER: 3,939,903,907 (+2,217,69160.10M) Die With A Smile: 3,932,471,193 (+2,521,46567.53M) So Billie currently has a 7.43M-stream lead, but Gaga/Bruno are currently gaining about 304K more streams per day. And importantly, this isn't just a one-day fluke. The previous update had: BOAF: +2.108M DWAS: +2.377M gap: 7.736M Then the newest update had: BOAF: +2.218M DWAS: +2.521M gap: 7.433M So DWAS shaved another ~304K off the lead in one day, while both songs actually increased. Here's where it gets crazy: If we simply freeze today's rates: BIRDS 60.096M ÷ 2.218M/day = 27.10 days DWAS 67.529M ÷ 2.521M/day = 26.78 days That projects Die With A Smile reaching 4B only ~0.32 days ~ about EIGHT HOURS before Birds of a Feather. That's basically a statistical photo finish. And the trend slightly favors DWAS. Kworb's recent chart history shows DWAS continuing to pull enormous weekly numbers. It did about 17.60M charted streams for the week ending Aug. 13, versus 14.87M for BOAF that week. BOAF fell to about 13.55M the following week. Spotify itself also confirms the historical significance here: it has described BIRDS OF A FEATHER as the most-streamed song by a solo female artist in Spotify history, while DWAS was Spotify's most-streamed track of 2025. My prediction: Die With A Smile… by a hair. But at current pacing they both will reach the historic 4 Billion Club Milestone for women on the same exact day. We are plausibly heading toward something like: ~Sept. 20: BOAF still ahead ~Sept. 21: BOAF still ahead ~Sept. 22: DWAS catches it ~Sept. 23: DWAS moves ahead ~Sept. 24: DWAS hits 4,000,000,000 hours later / same reporting cycle: BOAF hits 4,000,000,000 The exact dates will move because weekend streaming, playlist changes, viral moments, releases, etc. affect the daily numbers. And there's one semantic wrinkle in the "first female 4B song" record: BOAF would be the first 4B song by a solo female artist, whereas DWAS is a Lady Gaga/Bruno Mars collaboration. So if DWAS wins this race, Gaga would be the first female artist on a 4B track; Billie could still shortly afterward become the first woman to have a solo 4B track. This may genuinely come down to one Spotify daily update. One viral video. One post from either Gaga or Billie. Regardless, it would be really cool if they both shared this feat with eachother. I think that would actually be a really cool scenario that they both won.9 points

At a moment in history defined by political polarisation and wealth disparity, understanding others’ humanity, and treating them accordingly, is rare but critical. Slayyyter says: “I feel very uncomfortable with super expensive luxury things. Don’t get me wrong: I love fashion, I love runway, I love seeing things that inspire me. But the majority of the country is struggling to put food on the tables for their children. When I see a music artist flexing a Birkin bag, it makes me angry. What a grotesque display of wealth.” Taking a sip of Coke, she tells me that I need to check the materials of everything I buy. The earworm “BEAT UP CHANEL$” codifies that ethos. “To me, the most luxurious and beautiful item is something that has been used down and the leather is cracking and the threads are coming out and the strap is broken. It’s like someone’s shitty Chanel purse. That’s so much cooler than paying thousands for something that’s fresh out of the store and made of plastic.” https://i-d.co/article/slayyyter-worst-girl-in-america-interview/8 points

Why say that to a group of people who are sad over the loss of someone who has passed? That's like if Gaga died and someone said to you "meh, I didn't care about her" Some of the reasons people love Dolly is not just because of her music, but also because she was a very kind, happy, ray of sunshine, and someone who was very generous and gave back to her community, and supported the gay community decades ago. Her Dollywood foundation donated over 330 million books over the years to children to fight illiteracy and bring joy to kids who needed it. She donated to covid research, donated tonnes of money to people affected by natural disasters. Donated a lot of money helping people receive education, school costs, books etc. She was a person who was accepting of everybody, much like Gaga is, and always stood on the right side of history It's incredibly sad to lose such a caring person who did so much for others, when we have other people her age literally running a country into the ground and actively destroying lives, who just, keeps, living8 points

UPDATE: He have been deported! Far-right British political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos was deported to the United Kingdom after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Department of Homeland Security said Saturday. Yiannopoulos was arrested at New Orleans International Airport on Thursday, according to a DHS spokesperson. DHS confirmed it deported Yiannopoulos on Friday. "This administration is working diligently to ensure that aliens in our country illegally can no longer fly unless it is out of our country to self-deport," the DHS spokesperson said. Source: https://abcnews.com/US/milo-yiannopoulos-british-commentator-detained-ice/story?id=136038107 Mugshot U.S. immigration officials arrested controversial British far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos on Thursday in New Orleans, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Immigration officials announced on Friday that Yiannopoulos was arrested at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and accused him of overstaying after entering the United States legally in May 2019 through New York City. An immigration judge issued a final order of removal on July 22 after Yiannopoulos failed to show up for his immigration hearing, a DHS spokesperson wrote in an email. ICE's online detainee locator doesn't say where Yiannopoulos is being held but directs family and legal representatives to the agency's office in Alexandria, Louisiana, a deportation hub for international flights. Yiannopoulos is a well-known champion of conservative causes and has frequently taken provocative public positions criticizing feminism, Islam and immigrants. He has been especially supportive of President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown. "Zero immigration for the next 20 years. No ifs, no buts," Yiannopoulos wrote on the social platform X last year. Yiannopoulos rose to fame in the early 2010s as an incendiary writer for the conservative website Breitbart News. He resigned from the company in 2017 after a video of him endorsing pedophilia resurfaced online. He later apologized for the remarks and said he himself was a victim of sexual assault as a minor. Yiannopoulos' arrest Friday comes amid a nationwide uptick in detentions as part of Trump's immigration crackdown. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/far-right-british-provocateur-milo-yiannopoulos-arrested-by-ice-in-new-orleans5 points

It's just not a good picture of her 🤷🏽♂️ The wig looks like it is being pulled tightly downward, flat against her head (Potential) face tape stretched tight as possible the white on her waterline looks bizarre the brows look weird (saying that as someone who hates her non-bleached brows to begin with, but still) No shade to her, she's beautiful It's just a bad/awkward pic5 points

B*tch, I can probably secure a couple streams from my own Apple account and maybe I can stream the song on my sister’s phone once while she’s busy doing something. That’s all I can do. You’re asking for a lot.5 points

Whenever Britney posts these long soliloquies on Instagram, there seems to be such an immaturity to them, I use the word immaturity not in a negative way here, but more in the sense of a youngness to her thought process. The words of someone who wasn't allowed to grow up, even though she experienced the world through her fame, she hasn't experienced life, or been allowed to, so there's a mentality similar to little girls, to little kids with her.5 points

I mean they had successful albums as a fat femme gay (they came out May 2014 the same month their debut dropped). They had successful albums as non-binary (they came out in October 2017), they had successful albums after switching to non-binary pronouns (which they did in 2019). There is no denying Sam was a victim of transphobic bigotry. But that's not the sole reason for their decline. The simple fact is that Sam got successful through building an image as a relatable crooner in the adult contemporary genre. The fanbase Sam built was never a true fanbase, it was a **** tonne of casuals who liked the ballads that Sam put out. The second Sam dropped the incredibly safe and innocuous branding, they were pouring petrol on and throwing a match at the fan base they had because it was never a secured loyal fan base. These types of acts always peak quickly and burn out from there (look at Ed Sheeran in recent years, the straight cis Sam of the same debut era). Image shifts get praises when artists do them, because they have loyal fan bases who are invested in the artistry. Sam was just a generic act prior to Gloria with a fanbase interested in the vibe only. The gay community absolutely was guilty in some sections of horrendous bigotry towards them. And it still pops up occasionally now (like the met gala threads this year). But equally, many of us who knew of them from 2014 onwards and the image & brand that they had built found the whole image shift in Gloria to be disingenuous stunts. Like I'm part of the kink community, and I always found Sam's sudden shift from mopey loner crooner to "kinky wildchild making watersports references" fake as ****. And I personally think using fetishes as a stunt with no real connection to the kink world is just dangerous to the kink community and wider queer community.4 points

This is disingenuous. A heavily satirical song from an album that didn't chart on any of the mainstream charts and which currently has 8k daily streams/8 mil total streams after 3 years is not proof that someone isn't credible when talking about consumerism. Especially when she's explicitly said that the song is a dramatisation inspired by De Palma and is supposed to show Hollywood's dirtiness. Like one of the lines is literally "oh thank god I sold my soul". And it comes immediately after she calls herself a ****. GGD never beating the media illiteracy allegations.4 points

It’s not Physical but it’s one of my faves. Radical Optimism is truly an underrated album. It has some issues but deserved better.4 points
