  2. I'm not sure if I posted this on the right forum but I wanted to share some previews of the updated video in a fun and kind of engaging way 😁 For context, I was the one who edited this video (if you haven't watched it, here:) And with the MAYHEM era ending, I decided to update the evolution video! The full video is already done, and I am eyeing on a certain date for a release (not later this year 👀) so there is a chance that if she does something the next few months it might still get added to the video. So the whole video is 27:29 (29:12 with the credits), and I feel like a fun way to preview the video is if you comment a timestamp (from 0:00 - 27:29) I'll post a screencap from the video! If the screencap is a black image, I'll get the nearest frame available. For example — this is the screencap ar 13:45: Reply with a timestamp below (between 0:00 - 27:29) and I'll reply back with a screencap 😊

  20. This is ridiculous. Just rent out a castle, hotel, boat or other venue that caters to wedding if you want a big multiple day celebration. Closing off public spaces for days is selfish AF.

  21. Yes, the way rich people can dispose any place and disrespect locals shouldn't be taken lightly. There's something very weird going in the world with this kind of thing, while a big part of the world is crushing down in crisis, you have this rich people doing this with no shame.

  23. Did not now Gaga has some Irish and well Dutch ancestry as well. Even if a very small amount. Thought her ancestry was 75% Italian 25% French Canadian https://ethnicelebs.com/lady-gaga/comment-page-32 It's cool to me because I have remote ancestry there as well.

  25. It's one of the shows I learned English from (Buffy, Friends, Gilmore Girls and Simpsons really), so I watched it a lot and loved it for the first 10-ish seasons. Read the comics, played and failed at the NES game. I've seen them so much that I struggle to rewatch them nowadays. Later on I stopped watching, just because it became harder to find online and I wouldn't want to watch it dubbed. I remember when the Trump presidency was becoming a real thing and the first thing I thought of was that Simpsons episode where Lisa becomes president and inherits a crisis from "President Trump" and it was so incredibly bizzarre.

  30. I'm not sure what the connotation is in other countries, but in the US, if someone says they are Irish it's almost universally understood to mean they have Irish ancestry, not that they are an Irish citizen or born there. If they were born in Ireland or lived there, they'd say that. Saying "I'm Irish" is basically shorthand for saying "my ancestors were Irish and came here on a boat" and that's fine because everyone understands what they're saying and that's how language works--we make shortcuts for practical everyday use. Of course, we should acknowledge that Irish ancestry, Irish nationality, and "cultural Irishness" are all separate things which sometimes overlap with each other in certain situations. I don't think most people who say "I'm Irish" when casually talking about their ancestry specifically have a hard time understanding this. On the subject of cultural Irish identity, it's interesting, because we also have to acknowledge that in America there IS a specific Irish American / Irish Catholic culture that was born from parts of Irish culture but which has been shaped and changed in its own way. Implying that people of Irish ancestry are not in any way part of the diaspora anymore as a hard no would be disingenous. It's obviously a very complicated conversation. For example, you used the Catholic example as something people cling to. I personally have that in my family--my mom was one of 8 in an Irish Catholic family. If they hadn't had so many babies, I probably wouldn't exist, and the cultural traditions that were passed down and then continued to evolve in America contributed to what happened, so you can't say that culturally we are entirely divorced from the context of being Irish. But OF COURSE I would never claim to be anything more than a person with distant Irish American Catholic grandparents. It's not a huge part of my cultural identity, but it IS a part of it. Does that mean I'm claiming my experience is the same as an actual Irish national? Or course not! Nothing close. I agree that there is a sort of dismissive attitude that comes up in Americans who talk about their Irish ancestry in a way that implies they know what it's like in Ireland politically and culturally or what it's like to be an Irish citizen and that is an ignorant attitude that I can fully agree is annoying. This includes people who maybe visited Ireland once or when they were a kid and make it a part of their identity in a weird way. But saying it's not allowed to be part of our identity AT ALL is also a weird take. These are just my thoughts, not directed at you really and I'm not trying to make it personal or anything, hopefully you understand where I'm coming from!

  37. Rich and famous people think the whole world revolves around them and that we should all accommodate them. Nah. And not to be a d!ck, but celebrity marriages rarely last. So once again, why should the residents be asked to be inconvenienced for 3 whole days for your expensive life choice that will likely end in a few years? Asking people to shut their blinds in their home just because you want to host a private event in a public space is absurd.

  38. I knew there was a reason I never liked her. Feeling vindicated. I hope when they divorce in a few years the people of Palermo never let her have a moments peace. Also, I am cheering for the protests to disrupt any moments of joy her or her guests hope to have. Gaga has more than enough at her disposal to do whatever she could imagine for any celebration in her life and I firmly believe she would never do something like this. Renting out an entire hotel or even multiple sure, but personally shutting down businesses and causing chaos in people’s everyday lives, no.
