first fLizzo, then Charli XCX, and now Madonna... everyone's using her for clout ahead of their upcoming albums...12 points

Cuz I think it was a smear campaign orchestrated by Haus Labs to draw our attention away from the true culprit I quickly threw on the Mayhem glam in Photoshop to see if it would make the wig look more harmonious. I always throught the Enigma looks could've at least been decent if the makeup didn't clash as much as it did It's not perfect and I think that the glow-in-the-dark lips were non-negotiable for Gaga. But we like to experiment over here (This is the image I used for the makeup https://www.instagram.com/p/DFmRenKRd5Z/)11 points

this is the only correct answer: how this made it past her approval, god knows... she must have been going through some real sh*t the rest of these replies are just MEAN11 points

Back in 2014, you couldn't even have a proper discussion about this album without somebody shooting non stop with "DATED", "NOISY", "ARTFLOP", remarks.11 points

It’s targeted promo it’s smart. Y’all obsessed with “organic” when labels whole job is to find promo and marketing opportunities so the intended audience finds the album. Stop dragging an artist for promoting her work to her fanbase.10 points

It's such a karma is a bitch kind of thing that the generation who downloaded music and movies illegally for many years, now understands very well how destructive it is when something is stealing their own art. And the truth is, the majority still downloads music and watches illegally. like ya'll just hoarded illegally all the stems of Mayhem lol8 points

She's earned the right to do that. That bitch swam against the tide when it wasn't popular to do so. It's easy to fly a flag when the culture's turning left anyway, she went down in flames for us when the culture was shifting right. She's not a gay icon, she's the gay icon as far as I'm concerned8 points

They’re talking about levels of “desperation”/selling out and I’d argue that a FarmVille collab is cringier than a Grindr collab lmao7 points

I'm glad they didn't go down the route of AI filtering her vocals back to the 80s. But the vocal fx they have used have made her sound very muddy this era. I think this is the best of the 3 songs released so far. BYL is probably the worst because it was just a bit boring. It's definitely a mistake to name the album Confessions 2, the album so far looks good - her best since Confessions ironically - but its just not Confessions so the gays aren't handling it well lol6 points

The moment she appears behind him in the mirror will always make me laugh because that makeup is such a jumpscare 😭6 points

to be honest, one of her most ugliest look of all time… then she went to piercing shop in seoul day after arrived, looked sloppy and hard to explain. and this look below, the same day shes ready to leave tokyo before she arrived at gimpo airport. also this one, the day she finished artrave: ARTPOP ball in tokyo then went night club before she leave tokyo, this is really horrible and messy. i thought she really hates japan and korea all because she were serving ugliness so baaaaad during her asian tour that i cant even watch her looks.6 points

Wow she sounds like such an ally I hope she hasnt said anything problematic before6 points

Absolutely her fault, given everything she said about it (talking about it expanding the possibilities of what can be done in pop, calling it a cultural revolution, album of the millennium). Like it or not, part of how people digest music is based on the PR campaign surrounding it and the standards set by the branding. And the quality is fine/good, but she made it harder for herself by setting the bar much higher than music could reach. As a smorgasbord of EDM influenced pop songs, ARTPOP is pretty good. As a a boundary pushing pop vanguard? The album flounders.6 points

Because they are both digital platforms being paid to advertise an album? Both are marketing stunts designed to benefit the hosting platform and the advertiser. There's literally zero difference between Gaga on advertising via Farmville & Madonna advertising via Grindr. It's an identical digital marketing stunt. Having to specify the whole "Family friendly" vs "dating app" thing just sounds like misplaced internalised homophobia.6 points
