Democrats “have proven incapable of projecting strength, unity, and leadership, and voters have drifted away,” The incomplete report doesn’t mention a number of key issues that continue to dog the Democratic Party, including the issue of the war in Gaza. In 192 pages, it sparsely touches on former President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out. It also appears to lack any formal conclusions about what went wrong. They didn't even finish it 'cause they already knew the top three reasons why we lost to that dipsh*t again. 1) Biden was an arrogant old fool for trying to run again. He should have bowed out with grace and encouraged a primary where Harris stayed out of it. I like the woman, I think she'd be a great president, but coming off the heels of Biden's presidency, where he largely failed to clean up Trump's mess quick enough for the American people, she had no shot in a real primary. 2) Democrats are toothless. MAGA and the GOP have literally bent the institutions to their will to cement a minority rule where 30% of the population is electing 70% of the political power in this country. They're only just now learning they have to actually FIGHT back to be an opposition party. 3) F*CKING ISRAEL. DUH. The Dem establishment is so f*cking stupid, incompetent, useless, and worthless. Thank f*ck we're blessed with a plethora of great candidates this year 'cause the party itself is a goddamn trainwreck.12 points

The credits for both songs have been updated; DWAS now credits Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (of Daft Punk) and Vincent Belorgy (Kavinsky) as songwriters. Killah now credits Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails) as a songwriter.11 points

You Know Every Song. We Saved You Two Tickets. Introducing Reserved. Reserved, a new experience for eligible Spotify Premium subscribers (ages 18+), starting in the U.S., with more markets to follow. With Reserved, Spotify will identify an artist’s most dedicated fans and hold two tour tickets for them. No racing against thousands of other fans, no hunting for codes, just a reserved window to purchase before tickets are on sale to the general public. You show up for the artist, Spotify shows up for you. No added fees from Spotify, and more of an artist’s truest fans will end up in the crowd where it matters most. We’ll identify real fans based on factors like streams, shares, and other Spotify activity, and will also monitor the activity of Premium users to ensure these are real human fans and not bots. If you’re one of an artist’s most dedicated fans, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase two tickets during a dedicated window, typically around a day. Who’s this random snarky gay guy commenting? She didn’t base her career off Twitter vibes, she’s listening to culture (some of which is online). God bitter online gays are so irritating. on the actual point, she’s not defending herself as even people supporting her have called this an effort to shed brat fans. She’s just explaining intentions a bit more. By this read of her stuff, Gaga has been defensive for 20 years. Women can’t explain themselves or their art that people willfully misconstrued without people calling them defensive, lord. I’m not even an angel like that but rock music’s intention is insanely obvious.9 points

From the beginning of her career, Gaga made it very clear that she identified with Joanne and that her loss was very impactful on the family (one of her poems is featured in the album booklet for TF, Gaga and her team used to say a prayer that ended with her name before every show, and the date of her death is included in the Manifesto of Little Monsters). The way I understand how the album relates to her late aunt is that the trauma of the loss of Joanne from a lupus related flare triggered by sexual trauma made Gaga’s father incredibly protective of her to the point of being controlling/stifling at times. Due to that association, Gaga’s self-identity, from a young age, likely became entangled with how her father saw his sister and much of what is dealt with on Joanne is using that emotional focal point as a way of both processing past traumas, but also contextualizing that side of her identity that is more grounded in her familial history as opposed to the parts of it that are related to the creation of her persona as “Lady Gaga.”8 points

I mean, the proof is in the word you used. I don’t see how it’s delulu to acknowledge that a “reference” isn’t a sample or an interpolation. Should Bowie and Prince be credited on Killah? Salt N Peppa on Money Honey? Muse on Garden of Eden? Ace of Base on Alejandro? Depeche Mode on Dance in the Dark? Whitney on Fashion of His Love? MJ on Bad Kids? Madonna on BTW? Taylor Swift and Yaz on HBDUWM?7 points

The level of delulu in this thread I cant She did the right thing, the reference was obvious.7 points

I understand Killah giving a sample credit because they outrightly sampled the drums from Closer but the rest is just utter crap to keep the peace7 points

Not a crash out at all. She’s simply responding to fans receptions to the music. She isn’t “convinced” it’s more in her favour after brat, she literally outrightly said she will NEVER be this successful again so she’s just going to keep making what she likes. Literally no ego. if she wanted to be a success she’d have continued making dance music. Also weird to think that her and the PC music gangs music started out as irony and is now appropriated into modern dance music entirely.6 points
