I just don’t get labeling cult pop stars or artists that don’t really aim for mainstream success “Khias.” I would only really give that label to someone like Ava or Bebe who are clearly trying to chart on the Hot 100 and are flopping (while simultaneously making bad music). However I couldn’t bring myself to call Charli, Slayyyter, Robyn, Caroline Polachek, Gorillaz, Jessie Ware, Lana, Björk, Mitski, or Poppy Khias because none of them are really gunning for conventional pop careers, have pretty devoted cult folllowings, and have all garnered a fair amount of critical success (and they also make good music).8 points

I feel like this is a brand that does not need to hire a pop star to be a brand ambassador wtf That’s like Sabrina carpenter being a brand ambassador for band-aid7 points

So, so good. Love how she stripped it back for the first verse then incorporated elements of the original synths into the second. Great vocals and great arrangement7 points

Damn, DWAS is dangerously approaching 4 billion streams. I don't think we truly realize what it represents. — 4.000.000.000 — I believe in Gaga cause for now, it seems she always finds a way to defy the gravity of the music landscape, but STATISTICALLY, our chances to witness a new Gaga hit of that stature ever again are practically non existent. What I truly believe however, is that the world will have an epiphany and will truly love her again in the future. Don't get me wrong, she's very popular obviously but I feel that we're not even close to the love and recognition she will recieve later in her life. I wouldn't be surprised at all if in the end, she was remembered as being way bigger than Taylor Swift. Her hits, talent and political work will be remembered and deeply appreciated in comparison to her peers.7 points

The normalization of such blatant corruption while everyone I know struggles financially is so maddening. The level of cronyism within the United States really makes me question if any of the values that good, honest people were raised on, were ever worth it. Why do me and my loved ones try so hard to abide by the rules when crooks are literally stealing from my paycheck to bankroll criminals and insurrectionists. Purely rhetorical, but my God, Americans truly are living in a second Gilded Age. I'm so tired.6 points

F*ck that b*tch. She burned my grandmother’s house down 3 years ago. I’ll never forgive her for what she did to my MeeMaw’s heirloom Beanie Baby collection.6 points

Now this for me was THE MOMENT. What an incredible way to end the show. The darker vibe it brought to the song completely worked for me. The vocoder work was amazing!!! I honestly wish the original version sounded more like this one. Spectacular.6 points

An unexpected highlight. The new arrangement is gorgeous, the vocals are excellent, and the way it fits into the overall pacing/structure/tone of the whole show really breathes new life into it.6 points

Today marks the 3 year anniversary of Kylie’s biggest hit in years, resetting the pop landscape and changing the Padam Padam of hearts around the world. Where were you when you first Padamed? I remember I first heard the demo in a Wendy’s parking lot and thought “WAIT THIS IS ACTUALLY SO GOOD.”5 points

Kylie Minogue has revealed that in early 2021 she was diagnosed with cancer for a second time, after diagnosis and successful treatment for breast cancer in 2005. She discussed the diagnosis in a new Netflix documentary entitled Kylie. “My second cancer diagnosis was in early 2021. I was able to keep that to myself … Not like the first time,” she said, referring to her highly publicised first treatment. “Thankfully, I got through it. Again. And all is well. Hey, who knows what’s around the corner, but pop music nurtures me … my passion for music is greater than ever.” Kylie said that after her treatment, she struggled “to find the right time” to announce it publicly. “I don’t feel obliged to tell the world, and actually I just couldn’t at the time because I was just a shell of a person,” she said. “I didn’t want to leave the house again at one point. Padam Padam opened so many doors for me but on the inside I knew that cancer wasn’t just a blip in my life. And I really just wanted to say what happened so I can let go of it. I’d sit through interviews and every opportunity I thought, ‘now’s the time’, but I kept it to myself.” She said her song Story, from her album Tension, refers to that period of her life, with lyrics such as “I had a secret that I kept to myself … Turn another page, baby take the stage.” Minogue said of Story: “I needed to have something that marked that time.” Minogue said it was “my choice to share” the information, and that she was diagnosed after a routine check up. “There will be someone out there who will benefit from a gentle reminder to do their check ups … Early detection was very helpful and I am so grateful to be able to say that I am well today.” x5 points

To my fellow Pennsylvanian GagaDailyans (?), today is primary day! Get out and vote if you are able! Remember, even if it goes past the voting time, as long as you are in line to vote you still can! Report any intimidation you see. I'll post a list of six people who pledged to not take AIPAC/Super PAc money (and other things) once I can get back to my phone since it's on Instagram.5 points

"Trying to hold us accountable is an act of war" F*ck offffff. I was just reading a story earlier about Israeli settlers forcing a family to exhume their dead father to remove his body from land they were stealing. This coming after yet another batch of children were slaughtered by the self-avowed "chosen people". They're animals tbh. Not a single redeeming quality among them and it's well past time for the sane Israelis to do something about them. Don't they have elections coming up? Pretty sure the choices are basically "bad" and "worse" but somebody has to understand and support a non-interventionist stance. A real defensive stance, not a genocidal horror show soaking the nation in the blood of innocents where the only accomplishment afforded to them is creating tomorrow's "terrorists" to "justify" even more killing.5 points

Michael Jackson is on top of the world again, "Billie Jean" is currently the #1 song worldwide. Lets remember that Billboard Global 200 is the chart that ACTUALLY matters since it includes what everyone is listening to, not just the United States.4 points
