Ns, but the era has been jam packed and has already gone on for about 1.5 years, which is longer than most modern eras. Nothing suggests she’s rushing.23 points

There is no rush, the era was long enough and it was amazing. Nobody does more than 2 or 3 singles, the aesthetic, the promo and the songs were incredible and there is still the tour film to come out.12 points

4. HBDUWM is a song that I think works on two levels: one being a literal partner (maybe Michael), but secondly (which is the angle reflected in the MBT) is to the audience (“do you only like the bad girl I play on stage or do you like me for me?”) 5. I’ve always interpreted the signing of the scroll in Scheisse as Gaga entering a Faustian bargain with herself (she’s both the devil and someone selling their soul to the devil). Gaga has stated that the Mistress represents a ruthless and egotistical side of her personality, so with her singing that she wishes she could be “strong without this Scheisse,” I think you could interpret that as meaning “I wish I could be strong without this bad bitch act, without this heavy armor, without the trappings of fame/my persona,” but she ultimately caves and becomes the tough bitch she needs to be in order to succeed (which in turn becomes the challenge she poses to her more innocent/sensitive side in EtherealGa).7 points

You have to name 3 of your children after Lady Gaga songs. What songs are you picking? I choose: ALEJANDRO ABRACADABRA (Debra for short) and SHAPE OF A WOMAN (Ape for short)6 points

Y'all think too much about what could've been and what wasn't done. Yes the possibilities are endless, but if you always think about the possibilities, how do you enjoy the things that really materialized in the way they did? Repeat after me: Gaga is my sheperd; I shall not want. Or go read something about lack and want.5 points

I mean post album singles don't exist anymore. That's just the reality of the industry. And even if they did - Disease flopped as a single, Abracadabra did good but wasn't a strong blockbuster. There were multiple moments where other songs could have picked up steam to justify a single release (Coachella/Copacabana) but failed to do so. And like it'll be at least 6 months before the Mayhem Ball tour film is ready based on the industry average. Why drag out the wait for Requiem to the end of the year just because we're waiting on a film of a tour lots of people have already seen and moved on from?5 points

I was hoping those lyrics teased on her website that went unused were clues/hints/part of an ARG, but I guess they're just more of her zillions of pieces of unreleased material that I might never hear5 points

I must say is crazy how she keeps repeaking artistically. Her creativity keeps shining with everything this era and I’m so happy to see her like this. Disease is my fav and seeing her give it those heavier vocals like she wanted was great. Killah made me feel like robot vampire seductress in 3026. Zombieboy is the aftermath of Killah and everyone passed away in the club and the ghosts are still dancing. Another favorite for me is blade of grass, somehow this version feels more natural than the album version. I for some reason could not connect with the album version, her vocals just don’t work for me but I enjoy them here. and of course die with a smile. What a reimagining. The most heartwarming love song turned into a dystopian robotic dreamscape. she’s so talented.5 points

To me that makes sense tbh. Watching a concert film in a movie theatre is a thing for die hard fans, and they usually attend the first days it's available, so it's bound to flop after a few days5 points

you all drag beyonce over allegedly not crediting samples and interpolations but when gaga does it oh im sure its a misunderstanding interesting5 points

Nobody f*cking come for me for using electrical tape to fully black out my window or the plastic covering I'm in denial about while refusing to remove it from my piano ok? Ok I'm remodeling my bedroom this year anyway so I won't have y'all hoes coming for my ghetto rigging and having a cheap Gaga poster basically duct taped to cardboard that itself is duct taped to my window to block the sun 'cause only my other window has a proper blackout curtain Now that we understand each other, this is such a cute little space for me The Gengar @ChicaSkas gave me in LA wearing my LA Mayhem Ball wristband like a sash, the swine she had given to me in Miami in September, some of the stickers she gave me, some of my VIP stuff from Miami, the bear @Franch Toast gave me that she picked up in Korea at some teddy bear store called "Joanne's", my first vinyl purchase (MJ's "Invincible", set to orange today, there are four different colors) that I bought with @Flippy at Amoeba Records in LA after we met Kim Petras, my tiny puppy that looks like my dog, and the signed art card to top it all off Can't wait to bang on my keys later while I take in all these cute little trinkets and memories. The mosaic of my favorite people and the time I've spent with them She can stay here until I get a frame4 points

Mistress of MAYHEM and Lady in Red same character afaik MAYHEM Ball only really has two characters (Mistress and EtherealGa) who eventually synthesize into one at the end The whole point of the transition between The Beast and Killah (probably better illustrated in the tour than Coachella/Copacabana) is that EtherealGa (or the “light” or “innocent” Gaga) is tapping into the Mistress’ dark magic and beginning to play with the fabric of the “gothic dream.”4 points

hot take and unpopular opinion: i was really disappointed and underwhelmed by the arrangements overall. I would hardly call these "reimaginings" for most of them, and while there were some very interesting arrangements (like Die With a Smile), the fact it mostly was pretty identical (or close to) the album version for the entire tracklist feels like a big missed opportunity to me. Especially considering this was a free show intended for a film, I feel like they played it far too safe and could have gone a bit more out there. It would have been fantastic to have a jazz rendition of DWAS or a country version of BOG, or have her do what she used to do in the past with Poker Face and Paparazzi and Bad Romance and sing different melodic paths on the piano. The editing of the film was also really substandard imo, so many crowd shots when no one cares about that, too much strobe lighting, it was really hard to get into it. I only watched the first three songs and gave up after that (but listened to the album in full). For the first six songs she's basically just playing the piano and wearing the same outfit, which is fine for a life gig but for a concert film feels quite underwhelming to me. EDIT: Seeing her sit down for the piano on every song does feel a bit repetitive after a while. What happened to her choreography?? TLDR: glad she did it but wasn't what I was expecting or hoping for. Please don't murder me monsters.4 points

If he actually wasn’t informed he should have reached out to her or her team. Calling someone that was inspired by your work a rip-off is so rude and childish.4 points
