Totally agreed, the tension is killing me! Power ballads are my jam, especially hers. I didn't know the ruling opinion on here re: HMH was that it's cheesy though? I always found it powerful and endearingly universal at the same time. When it just came out (with the video) everyone was quite positive, if I remember correctly. Anyway, we need this new song asap, that chorus explodes like a rocket. Don't mind me with my low value post, I first wanted to YASSS yours but dicovered I'm out of reacts for the day already.

I also think it’s smart because Confessions was a purposeful return to form which I think was a brilliant victory lap as well (full circle moment: Madonna releasing a disco revival record during the early 2000s nu disco wave, mirroring her coming up during the early 80s disco revival), but I think this time people are actually ready to give her her flowers. Feels like finishing the incomplete business of the first COAD era in that way.

I think so, too. I can see why she would’ve opted out of including it on MAYHEM, but it’s also kind of wild to me that she could’ve slotted either Glamorous Life or Happy Mistake (or even both) before DWAS, but went with BOG instead

I love everything about confessions 2 so far, the music and the visuals are just amazing I feel like the album could stand on its own though, it’s quite different from COADF sonically and vibe-wise, maybe naming it Conessions 2 was a mistake, it could’ve been a new title for her discography, it was meant to be a huge highlight
