Heated Rivalry is continuing on an upward trajectory with each episode! The hit, much talked about Crave series, about rival hockey players Shane (Hudson Williams) and Ilya (Connor Storrie) who fall for each other, debuted it's penultimate episode and has been praised by many as the best episode of television this year. More so, that is now being reflected with ratings and reviews on IMDb! The fifth episode, "I'll Believe In Anything," saw Shane breaking up with his girlfriend after she figures out that he's not really into girls, the Tampa Bay all-star game, Ilya's father dying and him admitting his feelings to Shane in Russian, so he actually doesn't know what he said, Shane getting injured, and ending on the note of Scott Hunter (Francois Arnaud) coming out publicly by kissing Kip (Robbie G.K.) on the ice after winning the Stanley Cup, which lead to Ilya making a decision to go to Shane's cottage in the summer. It has reached a 10/10 rating on the film and television site, with over five thousand ratings. This has catapulted it to the top of the list of the highest rated episodes of the year on IMDb, and it's the second highest rated of all time, just behind an episode of Breaking Bad with the same rating, but with more input. In addition, the show as a whole is now ranked as the No 5 most popular TV show on IMDb, just behind Stranger Things, Pluribus, IT: Welcome to Derry and The Abandons. Heated Rivalry is also very highly rated on Rotten Tomatoes, by both critics and audiences. The series has a 96% Tomatometer score from critics and a 93% Popcornmeter score from viewers! https://www.justjared.com/2025/12/20/heated-rivalry-episode-5-becomes-highest-rated-tv-episode-of-2025-on-imdb/6 points

All these after promises to Warner they'd release 30 movies in cinemas annually if they allowed to buy Warner ?6 points

Look I love VIY. Apparently it’s my most listened to on the album but TEOG is the blueprint for all her adult contemporary pop arena ballads and the best to do it. So much so she wasn’t even aware of its power and relegated it (bafflingly) to a promo single and that’s the only reason it never went #16 points

I'm so ****ing dumb... I thought it was coming in 5 minutes and it's actually out in 2 days LOL6 points

Now, hold on... Saying Harlequin is not a good album is a big lie. It's technically one of her best records: vocals, production, arrangement. The least we can say is that it's by far her best 'jazz' album. But anyone can disagree... The only truth is that she's releasing this now because the album is nominated for a Grammy and they want to campaign for it5 points

It's actually kind of brilliant imo. Waiting until the dust clears from the Joker film fiasco, then making the most out of something she did for it on the side, so it can stand on its own. I'm not in love with the album itself either, but I think this was a good idea5 points

She only needs 66 more weeks at #1, 5 more octaves in her vocal range, one more diamond album and a more extensive vocabulary and she will be at the same level.5 points

Don't know about an announcement that early, but I feel like Total MAYHEM is LG8. The sort of "worked on a deluxe, ended up with a full album" scenario.5 points

The National Hockey League has issued a new statement acknowledging the impact that the Crave/HBO Max show Heated Rivalry is having on welcoming new fans to professional hockey as a sport. A new feature story about Heated Rivalry — exploring how the show is catering to a "long-overlooked corner of the audience" and has subsequently "caught Hollywood by surprise" — was published by The Hollywood Reportertoday. Unexpectedly, the story includes a statement from the NHL itself. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nhl-heated-rivalry-unique-driver-224551252.html4 points

I was not expecting this level of stage design, it looks like a theatre set !! Also what the **** is that insert of her on a Joker red carpet with «each time I find myself flat on my face » it looked like they put a meme in the middle of the teaser lmao4 points

Is it weird that I kinda want LG8 to be like Harlequin except not attached to a movie, all original music, and more experimental? My moodboard would be: cabaret the musical, cigarettes, red wine, the songs happy mistake and speechless, naked French models, jazz experimentation like some Billie Eilish songs, one song fully in Italian, a spoken interlude, raspy vocals, a haunting piano. Some vibey songs, some heartbreaking songs, some seductive songs, one 7 minute song that makes you feel like you’re going insane. Genre would be jazz at heart but with electronic pop sounds layered in. ONLY GAGA CAN MAKE THIS ALBUM.4 points

Am I tired of her variants? Yes. Do I get the hype of her appeal? No. Do I think she turns every person incident into a PR moment to maximise her profit even if through it she allows her fans to send death threats to her enemies while she is the perpetual victim? Yes. Do I like billionaires? No. Do I think Taylor goes above and beyond to pay her employees and donate to various causes? YES.4 points

Recently rewhatched this (i know its on Ellen and shes Cancelled but its not Ellen im focusing on it just so happened to be on her show) Anyway. Cher takes her mom, proceeds to walk over to the corner/side of the room, no costume change and no break, completely wings the performance unrehearsed and unprepared, lip syncs (and on top of that lipsyncs kinda badly) and calls it a day I guess it works cuz she was with her mom and kept it super simple and it was cute and only Cher could pull this off but this totally screams: "I dont give a f*ck, im tired and i dont feel like putting on a performance for this tv show, im gonna just playback some old music, pertend to sing along with it and call it a day, and ppl will find it cute cuz ill play it off as nostalgia vibes"4 points

If she's been recording during/after touring in Australia, do you think she'll be singing in an aussie accent like her old tour accent3 points

The inherently progressive nature of that universe is clearly a splinter in the Ellison’s foot, and being the conservative bullies that they are, they will want to bury that as much as possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they even start interfering in the production or threaten to cut fundings if changes aren’t made. This is absolutely despicable. Eat the rich. Eat billionaires.3 points

I think she has only started recording new music. It may take like 1-2 years for her to release next album. Last time she teased working on a new album in November-December 2023, only to release Mayhem in March 2025.3 points
-
The hype around her is only because of Ariana Grande, Blackpink, and Bruno Mars. Also A Star is Born smashed in Azerbaijan, not Gaga.3 points
