I f.ucking hate those 'blind item' people on TikTok It's literally just the new 'a source close to the star says' repackaged for the new gen People are just making stuff up babes. And just because some blonde girl with a medium sized following reads them into a little fluffy handheld mic in front of a ring light in her living room on TikTok with the green screen filter doesn't make it any more real than a 'rumour' on Twitter Stop believing everything some random person on TikTok says30 points

This blind item content creator argued with me (a brit who's a major history & politics nerd) the other week because she kept trying to argue the pedo formerly known as Prince Andrew was still called Prince Andrew and hadn't had his titles stripped. So I trust her approach to information about as much as I trust the DL guy in my grindr DMs at 4am on a monday morning.16 points

I'm gonna shut this down 'cause even as someone who doesn't particularly like Michael, this feels hella invasive He's not her "handler". She's just the type to capitulate a bit to the men she finds herself with and Michael is the one. Of course she's lent the reigns to him. But ANYBODY who thinks she can't take those reigns back or seize total control of everything in an instant doesn't really know who she is. She is in some ways very much a traditional wife, but she's also an incredibly strong and independent woman. G.U.Y. was literally the sign! She gives control 'cause it's hers to give12 points

Guess these blind items show why she decided to write Shadow of a Man. As if she herself can never do anything either good or bad, but always has to be "controlled" by some man.12 points

Chromatica suffers because of its production and instrumentals. Like you can absolutely mix the lyricisim of Chromatica with House music, but you can't restrain the music. You need to let the house tracks do what house music does best and actually invoke that sense of euphoria. Sadly, Chromatica instrumentals feel like they're dogs chained up by Bloodpop and every time they attempt to run wild they get yanked back into the kennel. It stops Chromatica landing how it was intended and fully representing that dancing through the pain feeling.11 points

I just saw this blind item on TikTok from a big account. Do you think there might be some truth to this? It's very extreme, but I would be too surprised if there was some truth to this.10 points

I think ARTPOP is the only album where Gaga is fully unmasked and herself artistically. You can even see ARTPOP in her early work like The Fame but she was hiding it. Only people who viewed Gaga as a basic female blonde pop star did not enjoy the album. ARTPOP is one of my favorite albums of all time and my favorite from Gaga.10 points

Did someone from GGD write that blind item Assuming this is all bs, I feel bad for Michael. They specifically said that he wasn't attracted to this lifestyle, was very shy and didn't like attention, and that he never thought he would be with a super famous popstar like her. He loved her so much that he was ready to get into her world. Imagine having all this stuff written about you when you specifically did not want the attention...9 points

Gaga is happier than ever so... that's what really matters at this point.8 points

ARTPOP sounds more like a product of it's time but it's lowkey a classic now where as Chromatica sounds as sterile and meh as it always has8 points

I want her to randomly dance Christmas Tree on the Australian Dates like she did with The Dead Dance just for the lols.8 points

This is such a misogynistic take. She's a the top of her game on a sold out tour of her best show ever, doing what she loves, happy to finally get to start a family and people still find ways to strip her of her agency and put the power in the hands of her male partner. As if she couldn't possibly be in control now that she's doing well. She's truly dancing in the shadow of man huh7 points

I never really understood the glazing on Chromatica's lyrics. On every other album, especially ARTPOP, when she wanted to convey an emotion, she'd make you feel that emotion. Like, if she wanted to express regret or sadness, you'd feel it from the music. Her tone, contextually within the words without being bluntly stated. But on Chromatica? She just says "I'm sad" when she wants to convey sadness and I guess I get it 'cause the tone set by the music itself is nearly identical for every song so she HAS to plainly state the emotion on each track, the music is literally incapable of conveying the mood 'cause, as @Ladle Ghoulash would put it, the album sounds like it fell right out of Garage Band. Anyway, I think it's her weakest album, lyrically speaking. Also, Swine alone clears both Replay and 911 easy7 points

Just checking Gaga's total streams and Im still gagging over the fact that Gaga has widen the gap of 1 billion streams since she surpassed Bey's total streams on spotify last August Lady Gaga - 33,463.9 Beyonce - 32,461.57 points

I can’t believe there are ppl calling the tour boring. What else can she possible do? We have the costumes, props, theatrics, storyline, stage, vocals, surprise songs, bow songs, fan interaction AND she’s happy and healthy.7 points

This whole conspiracy was started by a misogynistic gay on Twitter who is an asshole to people at concerts and tried to claim Gaga is pregnant for there not being any more dates added Please don’t give this rumor any attention, it’s everywhere on social media and sadly Gaga probably already saw it6 points

This condescending tone of hers bothers me. Not to mention that the submissive stereotype is a blatant misogyny. Gaga has a strong personality and is unlikely to be easily manipulated. She has known how to leave relationships that weren't good for her. She's an artist, but she's also a businesswoman. And she's smart. She's clearly happy, healthy, and inspired. We should trust her judgment and not gossip.5 points

well, just me 2 cents from behind the scenes and I'll try to keep it as vague as possible because *they lurk* Things are indeed different, especially the relationship between her team and us, we're been ignored for a few months.. let's say since maybe July? No idea why, but it's strange.. not necessarily related to MP though. But this girl is overreacting, Michael is not controlling Gaga in that kind of sense, he just did some house cleaning inside her team from what we know.. but the key people are still there: Bobby, makeup lady, gay wig guy, forgot their names. They are both working on a new era for Gaga, where she will have more control on her creativity.. Michael invested money on Mayhem, so Interscope gave her more freedom, he did the Mastercard deal, the website overhaul, and many things. Is it bad? you decide..5 points

While I do agree that the production on Chromatica sounds a bit generic, I think a lot of fans don't like the album (now, back then they were all jumping and screaming "yaaaas queeeen") because they still want Gaga to be gay, chaotic and less serious with her lyrics. Personally, I like her personal stories about mental health more than when she pretends to have sex with Greek gods, but that's just me apparently. I wonder if when LG8 drops y'all will hate on Mayhem as well 😂5 points

Also on ARTPOP Gaga plays with vocal colors in a way she doesn’t on Chromatica. She’s soft, aggressive, sensual, playful — it’s a whole palette. On Chromatica (and sorry for saying this), some tracks actually end up annoying to me. Fun Tonight, Free Woman, Plastic Doll, 1000 Doves… they’re so vocally upbeat that I literally get a headache from how much she’s pushing and almost screaming. That’s why I love the cadence on Babylon or the robotic softness of 911. In that sense, ARTPOP is just on a completely different — and superior — level.5 points

Christina was my #1 during Stripped and Back to Basics, but her over-singing started to annoy more and more. When Gaga came out, her vocal delivery struck the perfect balance for me. Now listening to Christina’s constant vocal acrobatics drives me nuts.5 points

Disclaimer: This is just my personal opinion, based on how I experience both albums today. I’ve been revisiting Gaga’s discography lately — album by album, start to finish — and something surprised me. ARTPOP, the album everyone loved to drag back in the day, actually aged… pretty decently. It’s not Gaga’s best, and I’m not even sure it’s a “good” album in the traditional sense, but it is fun. It’s loud, chaotic, and honestly? Still enjoyable. The beats hit, the lyrics are wild, and as a whole it makes it easy to listen all the way through. Chromatica, though... The minute I hit track 6 (“Fun Tonight”), I’m already feeling drained. I don’t know if it’s the sound, the emotional weight, or just how dense the whole atmosphere gets, but it becomes overwhelming fast. And that’s the strange part: when it came out, I loved Chromatica — the visuals, the colors, the world-building, the videos, everything. I listened to it nonstop and have a lot of affection for that era. But today? As a full-album experience, it hasn’t aged as well. It feels heavier, more exhausting, and harder to sit through in one go. So honestly, if we’re talking about which album ages better when you listen from beginning to end? ARTPOP wins. What do you think — ARTPOP or Chromatica?4 points

I meaaan... Let's not pretend Gaga has always been the best at judging people's characters, she's had her fair share of toxic boyfriends and collaborators in the past. That being said, this is her life and I don't think we should be speculating about these things. I believe they're aware of how it may look from the outside looking in, so these rumors are probably not really surprising to them, but they're both adults who know what they're doing and I'm glad they seem to be happy together.4 points

Also just to add on to this, I'm pretty sure she saw her opportunity when the other famous blind item lady died not long ago and swooped in to replace her/take her platform. I'll leave judgemental comments on her videos if they come onto my fyp idc.. if you dedicate your time to spreading misinformation and lies about people to the masses you deserve to be knocked down a peg4 points

I love both albums and I think Chromatica was a more enjoyable listen from start to finish BUT no song comes even close to Do What U Want and ARTPOP. Replay is a cool song but it was a grower at first and then it became so overhyped by fans.4 points
-
Both have aged somewhat poorly in different ways, imo (in part because I don’t think either sounded incredibly fresh upon arrival). I think the highs on ARTPOP are higher than the highs on Chromatica, but I think Chromatica is more consistent and a lot of the lows on ARTPOP are songs that I basically never listen to outside of the context of the album.4 points

without a doubt its her best. btwb is a very close second but knowing how much she struggled through that tour knocks it a bit but also mayhem ball just eats sooooooo hard. the first act alone is better than all of her other shows in their entirity and its so brilliantly paced and not to mention its her best setlist in years. it has the perfect mix of her smashes, ballads, fan favourites, and her surprise songs along with the random closing song each night is just an excellent choice all around. it's also the best her voice has ever been with her best choreo since boomkack. i really hope shes proud of what shes done and all that shes accomplished with this tour literally no notes, seeing it live was what i imagine catholics feel like when they go to church4 points
