Clearly those who don’t like the new song have never really been a fan of her music but this is truly her best song since Never Really Over. This is the direction that she needs to fully lean into, let the unserious/camp perspective aside and be serious girl. The song actually hints at suicide at one point (the train scene) but that her daughter represented by a literal daisy is the reason she decided to push through. Beyond that the whole video is a metaphor on how Katy unintentionally harms herself through a series of bad choices, she’s acknowledging them and trying to do better and I hope this song takes her on a path of better choices both in her personal life and career.

Its also very important to note that Cirkut was also nominated in Producer of the Year and Gessaffelstein in the Best Remix Recording, which means more people outside of the pop and dance committees are supporting not only the music, but the technical qualities of Mayhem. This is always a good thing for the AOTY race.

The only person peeling away Gaga's votes is Sabrina-- but be honest.
