Clearly those who don’t like the new song have never really been a fan of her music but this is truly her best song since Never Really Over. This is the direction that she needs to fully lean into, let the unserious/camp perspective aside and be serious girl. The song actually hints at suicide at one point (the train scene) but that her daughter represented by a literal daisy is the reason she decided to push through. Beyond that the whole video is a metaphor on how Katy unintentionally harms herself through a series of bad choices, she’s acknowledging them and trying to do better and I hope this song takes her on a path of better choices both in her personal life and career.

I really don't understand why this fanbase is constantly discounting her chances for AOTY when the math seems to be more in our favor than ever before. She deserves it and the odds are increasingly in her favor. Bad Bunny still has a hill to climb with the vast majority of voters who do not speak Spanish and Kendrick's base splitting across 3-4 respectable albums. The only person peeling away Gaga's votes is Sabrina-- but be honest.
