  9. Eras/album cycles are just becoming shorter and less eventful nowadays, for all artists. The days of post-album singles, countless interviews, award show appearances, talk show appearances/performances, etc. are sadly over. After mid-2010’s when streaming and social media took over there’s no more need for promotion as extensive as for example Born This Way era where every. single. day. in 2011 there would be something new, be it a new performance, interview, photoshoot or just Gaga serving a look whilst out and about. Nowadays it’s just lead single, second single, album, tour, Grammy’s. Maybe GMA, and a random radio interview here and there if lucky. Some artists barely even release singles and music videos anymore. If anything, Gaga still did a lot more this era than certain other artists though, especially in March around album release time with SNL and all those other interviews, plus TDD. And she’s currently touring, that also explains why the era is not that eventful now.

  10. I mean she read the script for Hocus Pocus 2 and thought that was amazing, so this endorsement is more of a warning about the movie's quality than anything else.

Only a third of the sales were physical, including CDs, LPs, cassettes, and paid downloads. Two thirds came from streaming." https://www.showbiz411.com/2025/10/17/final-taylor-swifts-showgirl-album-drops-92-in-second-week-of-release-ophelia-single-knocked-down-to-number-3 https://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/charts/top-50-taylor-swift-number-one-2025-10-17

  20. In a brazen, seven-minute strike, thieves used a basket lift to reach the Louvre on Sunday morning and, as tourists were already inside, forced a window, smashed display cases and fled with jewels of “inestimable value,” France’s interior minister said. The world’s most visited museum closed for the day as police sealed gates and ushered visitors out during the investigation. “A robbery took place this morning at the opening of the Louvre Museum,” Culture Minister Rachida Dati wrote on X. The museum cited “exceptional reasons” for the closure. No injuries were reported. Around 9:30 a.m. several intruders forced open a window, stole jewels from vitrines and escaped on two-wheelers, according to the Interior Ministry. It said forensic work is underway and a precise inventory of the stolen objects is being compiled, adding that the items have “inestimable” historical value. Dati and Nuñez were on site with museum leadership. Video from the scene showed confused tourists being ushered out of the glass pyramid and surrounding courtyards as officers shut the iron gates and closed nearby streets along the Seine. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez called it a “major robbery,” saying the intruders entered from the outside using a basket lift. He said on France Inter radio that the heist took seven minutes and the thieves used a disc cutter to slice through the panes. He said it was “manifestly a team that had done scouting.” The heist occurred in the Galerie d’Apollon, a vaulted hall in the Denon wing that displays part of the French Crown Jewels beneath a ceiling painted by King Louis XIV’s court artist, according to the ministry. French daily Le Parisien reported the thieves entered via the Seine-facing facade, where construction is underway, and used a freight elevator to reach the gallery. After breaking windows, they reportedly took nine pieces from the jewelry collection of Napoleon and the Empress. One stolen jewel was later found outside the museum, the paper reported, adding that the item was believed to be Empress EugĂ©nie’s crown and that it had been broken. https://apnews.com/article/france-louvre-museum-robbery-a3687f330a43e0aaff68c732c4b2585b

  22. Right, and despite how iconic and nostalgic it will always be, it’s clear based on recent interviews that the level of promotion she did during Born This Way era in 2011 was just extraordinary (I mean she literally said once back then that she slept like a few hours a week, remember ‘bus - club - bus - ‘nother club - no sleep’) and not sustainable for both her mental as well as her physical health. As much as I would love more content from her (interviews, performances, photoshoots), I also acknowledge that she has to take care of herself first and not risk overworking herself again. So ultimately I’m grateful for anything extra she does, especially when you consider a lot of promotion and events aren’t the norm anymore due to the change in music platforms, media consumption, etc. Nobody can ever deny the fact she is an extremely hard worker. I don’t think she’s ever taken a proper break in her career. Whenever she is not active, it always turns out she was working on something else in the meantime.

  23. You should be careful when making comments like this because Bruno Mars fans and Ariana Grande fans could just as easily make similar comments about Gaga, however we know that we would defend Gaga like our lives depended on it.

  31. Gaga's albums have never banked that heavily on pre-sale numbers. And afaik she never tried to sell her fans voice notes either. Chromatica definitely wasn't bundled with tour tickets because it came after the rule change if I remember correctly, though it's possible that Joanne was. But Gaga has never released time restricted variants to induce fomo in her fans. Or put out 30+ variants. Her releasing the Mayhem "Deluxe" didn't even include physicals, though you know Taylor would have squeezed her fans for that extra copy a piece or even released multiple variants with different covers. I truly feel like Gaga could pull the type of promo that Taylor does. Not to the effect of 4 million, but definitely to 300k-500k. But she simply doesn't want to. She could wear things for shock factor, including re-wearing the meat dress. But I feel she's always stuck to her artistic vision for an era. And I feel you can honestly see the difference in conviction between what her label is requiring her to do in order to promote an album versus what she wants to do. Gaga strays away from repeating herself in a lot of ways, while Taylor would (and has) embrace(d) it. Taylor has a new record. Biggest second week sales decline ever!

  37. Hey everyone, I'd like to show you something. Many artist release their albums with different covers, especially for vinyl or digital variants. I was lucky to buy a copy of the "The Crowd Is Your King" edition of Taylor Swift "The Life of a Showgirl" for the original price on ebay Kleinanzeigen. I was always too late when the other variants dropped from the official store but I don't want to spend triple the price or even more now and buy them from someone greedy on ebay. Since my collection of vinyl is very small and I own a lot of CDs, I thought why not extending my CD collection. I had some unused jewel cases (one with some little scratches), empty CDs (back from the days when you burned CDs yourself) and some adhesive CD labels. During my days off last week I searched for high quality pictures of the covers I liked and of images of the vinyl pressings. For the backs I made some own tracklists with pictures from the photoshoot. Luckily you find all of that on the internet. It took some time to find the right measurements for printing and cutting the images and centering the prints for the CD but it was a lot of fun. So now I proudly present my CD editions of "The Life of a Showgirl": - "A Look Behind The Curtain" (originally only digital for iTunes) with the "Sweat and Vanilla Perfume Portofino Orange"-disc artwork from the standard vinyl - "Baby That's Showbusiness - Lovely Buquet Golden disc" (originally only on vinyl and only available on her official store for limited time) - "The Tiny Bubbles in Champagne", a combination of the "Under Bright Light Pearlescent"-Cover but with the "Red Lipstick & Lace"-disc artwork (originally only on vinyl and only available on her official store for limited time) The disc artwork of course isn't as impressive as the vinyls are but I also just own a standard inkjet-printer and had the adhesive labels that were in my father's office cabinet for I don't know how long. I'm most proud of how they blend in with the other CDs, so the official original ones and they don't stand out the way I have them on display in my living room. Also the sides of the jewels cases match the original ones at least at first glance: I know that the experts among you may see how amateur-ish they are in comparison to other fanmade CDs like e.g. bsfmbygavin does on Insagram. I had a lot of fun creating these and my girlfriend, the much bigger Swiftie than me, was also very happy how they turned out. How do you like them? And I wouldn't post this on gagadaily if I hadn't some Gaga-related ideas in mind. I now have a list of at least ten more album covers that are not available on CD but I like to create a fanmade CD-edition of. - the Mayhem Amazon exclusive cover - another picture from the Mayhem-photoshoot that isn't a cover but would look fantastic if used as one - the two alternative covers for Harlequin Unfortunately my printer ran out of ink as the hightest print quality requires a lot of ink so now I'm looking for some way to print the inlays and CD labels elsewhere. If you would like to, I will keep you updated on coming projects- Thank you for your attention and possible feedback
