The visionary filmmaker behind Dune, Dune: Part Two, Arrival, Blade Runner 2049, and the upcoming James Bond reboot. While talks about this project have circulated before, the rumour has resurfaced again, which makes me think there might be some truth to it this time. Personally, I’d love to see it happen. If this is true, I think it could be Gaga’s best role and movie yet. Villeneuve is a director I completely trust, and his ability to combine spectacle with great storytelling would make for an unforgettable portrayal of such a legendary historical figure. While I know Cleopatra’s ethnicity and background often spark debate, I think this project with Villeneuve’s vision and Gaga’s talent has the potential to rise above the controversy. i was fearing this because TikTok has slowed down in views and videos and we are also losing playlist reach (down to 120M now), I feel like this drop is more about drops in playlists and the slow down on TikTok. And I think the GP likes the song tbh, still #1 at Shazam for over 1 week, that means people show interest and we are still getting great updates on radio. but this update was a bit brutal yup, not looking forward to tomorrow's update lmao Maybe we can have another miracle recovery next week like this past week.

I think some of this may be a result too of trying really hard to force virality rather than it happening organically The promo ads on spotify and immediate placements on playlists may give it a quick boost but then i think it can quickly fall off a bit and plateau until it actually grows on people and radio too (which despite its declining influence, is still a major promo platform for a good chunck of the population)
