Is it just me or is dead dance not a good song and feels like it’s just some copy of Bloody Mary mixed with zombie boy (my fave <3) im completely serious, I’ve never actually watched Wednesday so maybe that’s the reason I’m not getting it but the whole ‘do the dead dance’ just feels really... stereotypical and I’m a fan from the TFM and BTW days ❤️ But please tell me I’m not the only one lol

If we REALLY wanna be honest, I think many people have convinced themselves TDD is "not a good song" because it's for Wednesday + it was released as a single before being put on the album. I fully believe if this song was always on MAYHEM, y'all would've been clamoring for it to be a single the same way y'all do with VIY, Zombieboy, SOAM, HBDUWM, GOE, etc. TDD fits perfectly with the rest of MAYHEM—sonically, thematically, and lyrically.

Isn't that kind of poetic though? It starts with this big, grand opening full of a ton of production and spectacle, but ends with her taking off all her make-up & costumes and dancing backstage. When she's done with all the artifice of the opera haus stuff, she's just enjoying herself after finishing the show.
