In my head, 'How Bad Do You Want Me' is already the single, currently smashing, and then 'Zombieboy' is set for August to coincide with the Wednesday release.13 points

Heard HBDUWM on the radio in Australia, it's the most GP friendly song on the album and has the potential to become a hit. Come on Gags give us a music video, Abra has done her job.13 points

In fact, itâs an important metric because it provides data on an artistâs current popularity and listener engagement. A high number of searches in a short period of time can indicate a songâs potential to become a hit. This data can be taken into account by radio stations and even used in marketing strategies by record labels.12 points

You are living under a rock? Her last successful songs are not precisely fan favorites. It's the GP, not the fans, who make her successful11 points

He didn't say he agrees with her he simply said he doesn't follow what shes spouting. Not all of us are chronically on the internet and twitter and read every thing she posts. Thats how I personally feel about the whole Palestine/Israel thing. I don't follow it enough at all to know what side is doing what so I avoid giving my opinion or talking about it. And I do agree with him that the whole Potterverse DID bring people together and still has a massive fanbase. He's praising the art and world she created. Not the woman herself. I think she's vile woman but I still enjoy Harry Potter, always have and always will. Ive had the books, movies, merch and games forever while I was growing up and Im not just gonna toss it all out and pretend like that world doesn't bring me joy. I think the thread title is misleading honestly but yall do you.10 points

In the restraining order request filed Friday, Swift said Wagner is a stalker who first showed up at her Los Angeles residence in July 2024. Wagner allegedly returned multiple times that month, at one point âcarrying a glass bottle that could have been used as a weapon.â âDuring each of these visits, Mr. Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality,â wrote Swift. Swift said Wagner returned to the house again twice this past May, prompting her security team to run a background report. At this point, Swiftâs staff discovered that Wagner had a criminal record and had sent âlengthy communicationsâ from jail discussing a nonexistent romantic relationship with the singer. According to the restraining order request, Swiftâs team also discovered that Wagner had attempted to steal her mail and illegally obtained a California driverâs license that listed her Los Angeles address as his own.8 points

Her "core fans" trashed "Aura" and "Venus", while simultaneously insisting that some of her lowest performing singles ever ("911") were smash hits waiting to happen . If you legitimately believe that this forum is what she should listen to, to decide her career moves, gworl . Her "core fans" also disliked "Die With A Smile" and didn't even want it in the album (mind you: one of the biggest hits in her entire career ). I'm sorry but the absolute last thing she should do, is to listen to little managers on GGD . The actual majority of her audience loves HBDUWM, as evidenced by its consistently higher streaming numbers since release, and audience reaction during live performances . This might be shocking to you, but I do not like "Vanish Into You", the song isn't appealing to me. So, I don't listen to it, and that's it. I do not login here everyday to whine about how much I dislike the song, and advertise my fearsome revenge if she choses to release it as a single . Cause I'm neither 12, nor her manager. Now, imagine that . IMAGINE disliking a song, and not being immature about it on the artist's forum, every day. What a concept8 points

Raeâs debut album, Addison, floats in on a swell of goodwill following a string of improbably great singles, each one a little weirder than the last. Last Augustâs effervescent âDiet Pepsiâ felt a bit like early Lana in the star-spangled coquetry of its parking lot romance. But where Del Rey sang her torch songs with cool resignation, Raeâs layered vocals seemed to buzz with woozy warmth, punctuated here and there with âAhh!âs of satisfaction. Its followup, âAquamarine,â has grown on me since fallâa four-on-the-floor siren song which eagerly begged comparison to Madonnaâs Ray of Light or Kylie Minogueâs Fever. The moody minor chords of Februaryâs âHigh Fashionâ were less primed for the charts than for a cuddle puddle at an after-hours flophouse. And there was poignance in the downcast trip-hop of fourth single âHeadphones On,â which faced the doldrums with a cigarette and a stiff upper lip. In the video, Rae pops in a pair of wired earbuds and is whisked off from her day job to a manic pixie dream world. If Addison has a narrative throughline, itâs one youâve heard before, in which a plucky ingĂ©nue strikes out for fame and fortune in the wacky world of showbiz. But Rae is at her most delightful balancing camp and sincerity on starry-eyed numbers in which all the worldâs a stage. âYouâve got a front row seat, and I/Iâve got a taste of the glamorous life,â she trills on âFame is a gunâ with just a whiff of desperation, a callback to another Britney adage. (âThereâs only two types of people in the world,â Spears sang knowingly on âCircus.â âThe ones that entertain and the ones that observe.â) She opens âMoney is Everythingâ with a faux-naive stage whisper: âWhen I was growing up, Momma always told me to save my money so I never had to rely on a man to take care of me,â purrs the girl who claimed that she dropped her Southern accent because âMarilyn Monroe never said âyâall.ââ âBut moneyâs not coming with me to heavenâand I have a lot of it!â Rae presses on. âSo canât a girl just have fun?â Cue the beat drop and the chorus, a slightly psycho girl choir whose âLemonadeâ-esque harmonies sound like theyâre being shouted from the sunroof of a speeding car. In Raeâs first cover story earlier this year, thereâs a quote from Charli xcxâher mentor-slash-bestie whose âVon Dutchâ remix marked the first time that Rae came off as coolâthatâs been rattling around my head. âEverything she does relates back to her art,â said Charli of her friendâs evolution. âEvery item of clothing she wears, everything she says in a red carpet interview, everything she tweetsâit all is a part of the world-building.â Initially, I found the idea depressing: a teenage girl whoâd changed her life performing to a phone camera, now optimizing her every move for the aesthetic. Then again, thereâs something potent in Raeâs winking performanceâa borderline unhinged devotion to the American promise that a personâs destiny is entirely in their hands. Why not trade small-town boredom for gonzo Hollywood glam? Why not conspire against reality in favor of romance? Towards the end of the Frou Frou-esque âTimes Like These,â Rae hears her own song on the radio and wonders aloud: âLetâs see how far I go.â https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/addison-rae-addison/7 points

I mean the Lively camp branding it a victory is a total load of PR nonsense. The dismissal is because the Judge has ruled the NYT reporting on her lawsuit can't be considered damaging as it closely followed the law suit. The only win, and its a hollow win because of the dismissal, is the judge ruling she can't be held liable for the NYT report as it was based on a civil suit and not anything else. It doesn't in any way take a side on the he said/she said drama.7 points
