ABel posted this yesterday To explain the reference, the picture is from The Long Kiss Good Night. It's about a woman suffering amnesia and who has a deep identity crisis. After a car crash she's regaining some of her memories, helped by Samuel Lee Jackson character in her process. The movie is about dueling personalities and the search of who you really are. Totally in the vein of what Disease music video was about. The fact she's highly rumoured filming a music video this week, could actually be a tease from Abel who is also highly rumoured being featured on LG7. Could the Gaga / Abel collab be next single ?9 points

A trove of cassette and DAT tapes containing unreleased Michael Jackson tracks were found in a storage unit deep in the San Fernando Valley by Gregg Musgrove. The unit once belonged to Bryan Loren, a music producer and singer. On the tapes are 12 unreleased tracks, music Jackson worked on prior to the Dangerous album, around 1989 to 1991. Unfortunately for diehard Jackson fans, it’s likely Musgrove will be one of the few people to ever hear these tapes. He and the attorney he brought on approached the Jackson Estate with their findings earlier this year. The estate, who Musgrove says did their own research into the tapes, declined to purchase the tapes for an unknown reason, but did provide him with an official letter stating that the estate does not claim ownership of these specific cassettes. They make it clear in the letter, however, that he and anyone else who might purchase these tapes down the line do not own the copyright on the recordings or the compositions, the estate does. Essentially, these tapes can never be released publicly. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/music-news/michael-jackson-unreleased-tapes-found-storage-unit-1236085303/8 points

Sis if anything we've learnt from the editing of Joker, it's that anything can be cut. Even an entire scene of Gaga singing That's Entertainment. It's not logical for the audience to wait that long before the second chorus, so it makes sense that it's shortened.8 points

"We don't claim ownership but if you release it we're suing because we have ownership" lmao.... ok...6 points

I love reading theories like this, also love the passion and love you show. and if this turns out not to be true, who cares, at least you are engaging with gaga and making others think harder about disease, and that's all that matters.5 points

Gracie Abrams – who is the daughter of filmmaker J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath - has left her fans with a sour taste in their mouths with her 'unjustifiable' ticket prices for the second US leg of her tour. Shortly after Gracie announced her shows, her fans discovered in the pre-sale that two VIP tickets at Madison Square Garden would set them back an eye-watering $648.40. Fans of the singer were furious by the 'absurd' ticket prices and expressed their outrage on social media. Taking to Twitter, one slammed: 'There is not a single Gracie Abrams song worth paying $700 to hear live.' Another vented: 'Gracie Abrams tickets for $700 is completely unjustifiable, that girl is not famous enough to be making her prices that high. I'm sorry Gracie ily but what.' She previously served as the opening act for Taylor Swift during her record-breaking Eras Tour. source https://twitter.com/riptaylorsrep/status/18672232391239927814 points

Charli XCX joins the cast of the upcoming film The Gallerist, directed by Cathy Yan. Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega were previously announced as stars of the movie, which is in pre-production and expected to begin shooting at the end of 2024. Charli, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Sterling K. Brown, Zach Galifianakis, Daniel Brühl and Catherine Zeta-Jones round out the cast, Deadline reported on Friday. The Gallerist was co-written by director Yan and James Pedersen. The storyline involves a gallerist conspiring to sell a dead body at Art Basel Miami. billboard.com4 points

She's happier than ever creating music in the studio and she said herself she has done A LOT of music and she is VERY inspired. And we know she was recently in the studio. So yeah we could get new music from her sooner than we think after LG7.4 points

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an unauthentic pop star and rise to fame, it really does feel like she’s a taylor swift 2.0. Taylor’s aesthetic, lyric and song styles are all in there. It doesn’t help that her team is not hiding how much she’s pandering for TS fanbase’s attention and from a strategic perspective, that’s smart because TS fanbase is huge, you can get a whole fanbase for yourself just out of a small percentage of it the label could have made it less obvious but apparently that’s not a concern at all If you listen to her music without knowing who she is, you’ll probably think that’s taylor with a slightly different voice but even the cadence sounds similar4 points

She has to pay her label back for the extreme amount of payola they pumped into her somehow.4 points

Look at the clip : She turned her head twice. In the trailer : She turned her head three times here. Conclusion : I WAS RIGHT, THE SECOND MV IS THE SEQUEL OF THIS ONE. Don't tell me that this is a random part of the original clip that was cut at the end, Gaga seems really meticulous on every details about this era. I think I said it many times but "Zombified" (yes it is the title of this song) is the sequel of this song and it's music video. It's from this character point of view. Maybe Gaga already shot the second music video at the same time of "Disease".3 points

Does LMs watched Arcane ? I watched the S1 and I didn't started the S2 yet lol, but I noticed that there's some videos that use "Disease" audio and associate it to the character of Viktor from Arcane who has a disease. And I saw some recent comments under "Disease" MV referencing Viktor. The LMs obsessed by charts you know what you have to do now lol If you manage to make this song a smash hit she will probably drop earlier her next single guys I'm personally not obsessed by charts but it's funny to imagine the ways you can promote a song, it's a creative processus3 points

sorry, I truly dont understand what you're pointing out here3 points

Lol, she shot a video and recorded several performances of it. Did a few Tiktoks. She also has remixes ready to drop. She's obviously excited about the album and is engaged and ready to do more promo when the album comes out. Don't forget she also did the Olympics, promoted a movie and released a surprise album this year.3 points

I know but they could have cut this sequence earlier Ok, I will explain my full theory about her marketing for this era : I think that the reason why "Disease" mv was very misenderstood by the fans was bc it follows the stories of these different characters. Even if we were able to get the global meaning of this mv, there's many stories going on here. Gaga said that "Disease" is a song that introduce well the themes of LG7, so the MVs could be an intro to this story. I noticed that many ppl from the GP, crave for a "Telephone" part 2, which will probably never happens. The idea of making a whole small serie of clips is something that Gaga already did in her previous eras ("Joanne", "The Fame+Monster"). So it would interesting both artistically and commercially to do that. It's a way to promote many songs at the same time. So yep "Disease" didn't made incredible numbers... But what will happen if another single of LG7 become a smash hit ? If the MV of a successful single is cinematic ppl will probably be more interested by the other singles to follow this lore. So it will boost their streams and sales. I think that "Disease" has a strong aesthetic, pretty unique and easily recognizable. That's what ppl want. Making sequels will make it even more memorable. Gaga is hardly recognizable to the GP cause she always change her clothes, her hair. Sadly despite her versatility being a quality, that's doesn't appeal enough the GP. The aesthetic is super important nowadays and that's how Charli with the green color, Olivia with the purple, Taylor with the red, chappell with the pink, Billie with deep blue, Sabrina with the bright blue... are all very recognizable to the Gen Z. Gaga picked some black and mauve and ver desaturate colors for her aesthetic. The black hair and bleached eyebrows, the gothic and dreamy aesthetic, everything is perfectly done here. I explained on some other topic that "Zombified" follows the story of this character. Why especially this one ? Bc what I heard from "Zombified" snippets match with her description : "Now I can see straight but my hands are tied I could be alive, I'm just zombified Now I can see straight with the demon's eyes I could be alive, I'm just zombified" Some of y'all will tell me "Stop to hyperfixate on the 12 second snippet Kayi, it's unhealthy, pop a 9-1-1" I promise y'all that I touched some grass and that I just think about it when I go to this site. The most of my time I do my homeworks like a slave. ... Sorry, well I think that those lyrics match to the video cause the girl have her hands tied. The lightning highlight her demonic eyes and it's also Gaga's new pfp on her social networks. She has a very pale skin and scars on her body that make her look like a zombie. That's why the LG7 era is probably cinematic. I also made another topic about why I think each songs communicate to each other.3 points

Arcane To be fair, I barely watch TV so I have a very low threshold for even liking any show at all. But with so many people raving about this to me and suggesting I watch it, I thought this would be way more exciting. I couldn't get past two episodes.2 points

Rings of Power.... like...... I enjoyed the casting and some of the characters introduced in Season 1, but the show could have been SO MUCH BETTER if they were given a decent script. I even started watching Season 2 and some of the plot choices there made 0 sense....2 points

I mean...she was in a random club performing Perfect Illusion to a couple dozen people literally the day after it released. Making appearances at every radio station to talk about the song and her upcoming album. Joanne technically got TWO tours I don't hold anything promo related against her for Chromatica 'cause covid happened. I'm nettled tonight and exhausted so I'm definitely being more abrasive that I usually would, pardon me I don't care about promo for promo's sake, literally could not care less if she ever showed up on the top 100 again, I just want her to be enthusiastic about whatever she's doing. I would have preferred for Disease to come out in 2025 if she was just gonna do absolutely nothing with it. Even Happy Mistake (probably her best ballad since Dope) has a performance, like come on if that's the kind of music you want to release and perform then do it. Don't throw a banger out there to die of neglect of you aren't feeling it.2 points

I was watching the music video earlier and noticed she seems to be predominantly fighting with lion hair GaGa from the ARTPOP era which is interesting. No shade to that era, I loved it but just an observation. I know she was not in a good place for that era but maybe she’s still processing it.2 points
