I think as a fanbase we've gotten too used to the smash success of DWAS. Gaga doesn't care about the charts, and the single has barely received any promo, not even a MV yet. Not to mention this is the very definition of early days lol, there's heaps of time for the song to do better. TLDR: Stop the drama, Start the music

Biggest solo debut is an amazing achievement Also it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that she didn't have HUGE numbers lol. Gaga's music relies a lot on promotion to chart. We've seen that with Million Reasons and Shallow peaking only when Gaga decided to perform the songs live on TV.

Why would she follow the same rollout as she has in the past when it hasn’t worked? So many of us, for years, have questioned her team and their rollout decisions. It’s clear they want the music/art to speak for itself and build momentum rather than throw it all at us at once and pray it takes. This makes sense.

Remember when she seems so excited sharing this snippets of the new alboom to us, her fans? I wonder why the silence now on her new single for her pop solo album? It's like drop the baggage and go now because of it. She was so visible when doing promotion for one off projects that is DWAS & Harlequin when it was released. It even got Zane Lowe interview. But why the crickets now? Why the non existent energy? Like, not even celebrating the release with her fans? Wondering if this is what she originally planned, the no promo style promotion, or has something changed? Could the JFAD getting panned soured her mood? Cos all of these doesn't feel normal to me. She is a little bit too quiet for her own major release. I just hope she is okay.

Just piling on the sentimental stuff so many of us are feeling tonight I missed Gaga's height (TF/M and BTW) as anything but a casual fan. I remember bopping to Beautiful, Dirty, Rich and Boys Boys Boys in the school library with my then-besite/cover girlfriend but that was really the extent of it for a long time. It wasn't until she debuted Swine and matched the jagged edges of her broken heart with my own that I really clicked with her and I've been hooked ever since. ARTPOP was my LIFE. Cheek to Cheek was incredible. Til It Happens to You laid a hand on my shoulder and lifted me up when I needed it. AHS Season 5 was amazing. JOANNE REMAINS MY FAVORITE ALBUM AND I WON'T APOLOGIZE. She had me shook with her second peak in ASIB. But then...something changed? I didn't love Chromatica. Love For Sale, though it grew on me, was underwhelming at first. And I didn't have quite the obsession with House of Gucci. I was subconsciously, then openly, scared I was losing my love for Gaga. But honestly? Reflecting on it, that was just an incredibly rough time for me. My first real experience with major grief, constant 24/7 stress for over two years at least, depression unlike I've ever had, to the point that @ChicaSkas randomly messaging me one day stopped me from doing something quite...permanent...for the second time. Since then, I've had mid-ups and very low downs. But...I adored Joker: FAD on the first watch. Harlequin is phenomenal. Hell, the reason I made this thread is 'cause Happy Mistake made me cry AND DISEASE IS F*CKING AMAZING. Idk, there's just this overwhelming sense of relief. I actually love her work. I'm capable of loving her work in this moment. And I'm so goddamn excited for LG7. You never know how painful it is to turn into an empty shell of a person until you're full of emotions and joy again. I know another depressive episode will hit any day now but for now? I feel great. If you told me a decade ago that following the description in one of @Riley's studio versions would lead me to this cult site where my life would change forever. Where I'd find such incredible people that I'd become close friends with. Where I'd have a chance to peak behind the curtain at the inner workings of my favorite living artist. Where I'd find a way out of such a negative and dark place....I would have thought you were crazy. But here I am. And here we are Holy novel Tl;dr - Thanks for always being there.
