I feel that with The Monster tbh because of the lyrics. The tune is amazing but the lyrics kill it for me. Also with Telephone production.

Exactly. As much affection as I have for it, The Fame Monster is very much a novice work. Detailed and intricately produced, but very rough around the edges from a songwriting perspective. And that's something I could not say if BTW and AP weren't as good as they are. I don't care how many people are jumping ship, I think she's far more exciting now.

Dance in the Dark.

How can everyone not choose it? People choosing Bloody Mary clearly did not attend the Monster Ball. DiTD penetrates deep.:P

SECOND thing we disagree to. :emma:

We're breaking apart, honey :emma:

It's ok, the things we both like will keep us from falling apart :emma:

I love Bloody Mary so much, but I have a special love for Dance in the Dark so my vote goes to DITD.

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

I think most would agree ARTPOP is her weakest lyrically, TFM had very dark and vivid lyrics that were still relatable, could you elaborate on how those lyrics are worse than something like "Aphrodite lady seashell bikini"?

THIS! :trootea: this entire fandom will never get over TFM but it's clear she's improved when it comes to song writing when you listen to BTW and AP.

I personally choose Bloody Mary because it is just overall better and if it had been on the fame monster everybody would say BM but nope it's on BTW so all it's gonna get is shade and dust. Ughhh :manicure:

I prefer AP thank you. TFM is just praised because the world considered it an EP and everybody feels sorry for it because it isn't considered an LP. Also because all of it's singles were smash hits but so f--king what. Plus Venus is lyrically very clever. It's a love song based on Roman mythology and the goddess of love and how Gaga wishes to escape to a planet of love and compassion with her lover. While also still being a reference to the art "the birth of Venus". It has more metaphores than people recognise and this refers to the whole of ARTPOP. And to be honest the only dark tracks to me were Speechless, Monster and Alejandro.
