Imagine if she had a giant swine head at artRave that vomited on people and temporarily fried their phones

The girl at the end has more emotion showing than anyone else. I agree that people focus too much on taking photos, and I used to be one of those people.

On the other hand, I LOVE photos and I often go through mine to recall those memories. The pictures of I have of my little brother when he was a kid, of my family vacations, etc. are priceless to me.

I think it's about finding a balance. You can take photos, but get your shot then put the device away.

I totally agree with you! I'm going to my 1st Gaga concert/1st concert ever in September to the Stockholm artRAVE and I've planned that I'll take a few pictures and maybe like a short video of one song or smthn to remember and go back. But people who are on their phones the whole time do look a little annoying.

Omg I remember back then during her BTWB here last May 2012, I fully enjoyed the show. I only took like 10 photos and took my camera away and I was very very happy :omgexcited:

Okay sorry but I don't care :awkney: I wanna show my friends and have memories to look back on. Why would I let my phone's perfectly good camera go to waste? I'm obviously not gonna record and look at my phone the entire time (my phone is the last thing on my mind) but come on... Cameras exist for a reason!

This is an important message I want to spread on Gaga's behalf.

Gaga has told the audience at the SXSW concert to put their phones down and enjoy the show. You can see her strong disappointment when she sees so many phones up, so many people fixated on recording the show to post on facebook/twitter/instagram.

Technology is negatively impacting us. Back then at concerts, everyone didn't have video phones, and you can see them enjoying the show and truly being one with the performer. Now, we live in an age where going to concerts isn't about watching the concert anymore, it's about proving to your friends that you were there, or how close you were to a famous person. I have watched the Roseland Ballroom full show and I was disgusted at the amount of phones the VIP crowd shoved in Gaga's face as she performed piano 3 feet from them. It's utterly rude. Gaga must've been very irrirated and disappointed, if you could see behind her shades.

Here are proof of what I'm talking about. It's understandable that these people wanted pictures because they paid for it, but recording and taking constant pictures throughout both songs? Why don't they put the phones down and enjoy the show? It's going to be Livestream and on Youtube, professionally recorded! Why need their low-quality recordings? You can even see that some of them aren't even looking at her! They're looking at their phones!

However, this girl does it right! If only the crowd was like her, how HAPPY Gaga would be.

If you support this message, please keep this thread alive so others may see it. We have to be respectful of Gaga, guys. Take a few pictures, then put the phones down and enjoy. Don't let technology ruin our short, precious moments with Gaga.

I have always felt like this, I go to a lot of concerts and every time I do people are like, "TAKE A LOT OF PICS!!!". And I simply respond with, i'm not promising anything. I usually take one pic of the stage before the performer comes out and that's it. I had having to be responsible for my phone and jumping around TBH

This is a great post. I agree 100% that technology is sucking the life out of us. I also admit to doing this. It's horrible and I'm trying to stop but it's tough! Maybe it's best not to bring the phone at all. Everyone is trying to show off and post the best pictures on instagram and facebook but for what? for hundreds of likes? it's sad but true. it all needs to stop.

I agree :golfclap:

But I don't really give a f**k if people want to waste their damn money taking pictures or chatting with their friends, they'll regret it eventually

We're in the age of technology, people recording with their phones is inevitable and it's always going to happen. There's nothing anyone can do about it. Personally I'll only take minimal pictures when I'm at a show since I'd much rather enjoy the experience than be concentrating on my phone, and I know others are gonna record/take pics anyway so I can always search them up on the internet afterwards :ohwell:

I do like to take a couple of pics though, just to have those little personal momentos that are mine.

This actually annoyed me. She was singing DOPE for crying out loud. Have an honest, real moment with her.

Enjoy the moment.

I couldn't believe the people with their phones. If you're THAT close to Gaga why wouldn't you just put your dang phone down and savor the performance.

I agree. I've never been to many concerts but I don't have any pictures from those I've attended. Yet I have a phone haha. I don't know, I guess I'm afraid I'll miss something funny/sweet/weird while I'm taking my phone out of my bag or my pocket. If I want to film the entire show, might as well be at home watching it on YouTube.

And Gaga's right, concerts are all about enjoying the moment. I try to find inspiration in what she says and this is probably what makes the most sense to me.
