SummerGirl21 787
In the lyrics: I'm gonna say the word And own you You'll be my (G.I.R.L.) Guy I'm romancin' loves to hold you Know, you'll wear my make-up well G.I.R.L. stands for "Guy, I'm romancin' loves" Am I just a bit slow? yes. you are a bit slow. lol. but that's okay! i dont get why she did it, it doesnt even make sense it's role reversal. She is calling the man a girl, which actually stands for "guy I'm romancing loves.." which runs into the next sentence. it's a joke/play on words. Buoy Boy 1
yes. you are a bit slow. lol. but that's okay! it's roll reversal. She is calling the man a girl, which actually stands for "guy I'm romancing loves.." which runs into the next sentence. it's a joke/play on words. no it doesnt make sense GUY is girl under you, which is a physical thing, a girl Guy im romancin' loves isnt anything, she's saying 'You'll be my guy i'm romancing loves' If she took out the loves it would make sense, as it is it doesn't

SummerGirl21 787
no it doesnt make sense GUY is girl under you, which is a physical thing, a girl Guy im romancin' loves isnt anything, she's saying 'You'll be my guy i'm romancing loves' If she took out the loves it would make sense, as it is it doesn't it's not supposed to make total sense. she says "GIRL" to indicate role reversal. She says "Guy I'm romancin' loves" an a nod to the acronym use in the song and then runs into the next sentence. She continues with the role reversal theme when she says "you know you'll wear my makeup well" it doesn't need to make total and complete sense. it's supposed to be fantasy-esque. kind of reminds me of lewis carroll poetry,
Gagz 2,579
I don't get how people don't realize this the first time they hear it. It never dawned on you that G.I.R.L stood for something? However, the thing it stands for doesn't make any sense. "Guy I'm romancing loves." It should have been "Guy I romance and love" or something that actually makes sense. Nemo 4,291
I like to interpret them as a recursive pair of acronyms: Girl Under You = G.I.R.L. Under You Guy I'm Romancing Loves = G.U.Y. I'm Romancing Loves (G.U.Y. I'm Romancing Loves) Under You (G.I.R.L. Under You) I'm Romancing Loves ((G.I.R.L. Under You) I'm Romancing Loves) Under You ((G.U.Y. I'm Romancing Loves) Under You) I'm Romancing Loves etc.
