I really expected that song to be big… it's a typical Katy hit… Same here, I was expecting a Top 10 at least. Birthday is a typically Katy Perry song, it brings absolutely nothing new. That's generic and radio friendly. I love Katy but to me Birthday is one of her weakest single ever. Looks really low budget and random tbh, the only cool part is when she's crying the silver stuff but it still has no relevance to the song. And the jump cuts are terrible. Not nearly as big as Roar and Dark Horse but still respectable for Gaga's limited radio power and controversial image. Also TEOG and You And I were huge on HAC formats for months after Pop radio had dropped them completely. It's really unfair and it only irritates me cause Born This Way is my fav album but has been paid dust by the media. mess. born this way outsold both of them Remember that you are unique.
