They should have pushed radios more, even Y&I could have gone higher on radio, imo. The states not in the Bible Belt might have given Judas a chance on radio too. They should have ignored the controversy. Gaga did several radio interviews during the You and I era, she even sung it on several radio stations.. Gaga has had problem with the radio since 2011.. Gaga's songs just aren't that radio friendly, they are strange songs, she is strange. She can't dominate radio. Gaga always truly dominated streaming and media. She lost her streaming power during TEOG-Y&I even if she has recoverd it a lot. It's just a matter of timing really and good choices - management. This is why this era would have been different from the beginning if the whole media, critics etc weren't that negative around it. What Gaqg needs to do is just take good descisions and have a good management, and the rest will come. SHe never dominated radio similar to her domination that other formats,, even during Bad Romance and PokerFace that she was rulling the world. What happened after Bad Romance is that she just wasn't new anymore and Lady Gaga can't dominate radio, she is polarising and unusual. Radio is a tool for a daily use, it needs usual radio artists, it needs usual things. Lady Gaga is not made to dominate radio, it's impossible. SOme of her songs will be big on radio again but she will never be like Katy Perry and she will probablt never get as much airplay as she got during TF era. Gaga's power lies in the buzz around her, and in streaming. You can say that her her power lies in her persona. Her persona is huge but this is why it can't fit radio also. This is also a main reason that ARTPOP struggled from the beginning. The buzz around it was damaged from the beginning and Gaga relies heavily on the myths, "the Aura" around her. That's not the point anyway, during TF Era Gaga was new, it's not something that you can compare when you see by yourself that by the middle of TFM era she started desclining on radio regardless of the fact that she was still dominating everwhere till Judas and maybe even till TEOG (except from streaming on TEOG). It's really obvious that radio is not here for her and it's ok. I mean she is Lady Gaga, she is not what you expect to listen on radio, she is polarising. Shw will always get support because she is a pop star but you can't expect from radio to sace a Lady Gaga single. TF era is not the Era to use as an example. Yes I can. Katy didn't score that many number 1s on POP when she was new and neither did Kesha, not even Adele who was also the IT GIRL.
