Pure Adrenaline 1,518
Um...those two genres are FAR from dead! The top songs and albums in the US last year fell under these categories of music. The top 20 on radio has been dominated by R&B for a few months and Rap collabs are always at the top of the Pop charts. Β I like Ariana, but she isn't reviving any genre of music! this if anything hiphop/r&b are more alive than few years ago it feels like pre 2008 when half and more of the decade was dominated by those genres ... it's like music industry tends to run in cycles the Dance/Electronic Pop cycle was 2008 - 2012 now the charts are again dominated mostly by male starts and the female that are charting higher now are either with rap collaboration or the song itself is hiphop or r&b pop It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
Luc 4,775
Well I think the vocals are perfect and considering that a song with strange vocals like Royals smashed Dope won't have a problem with its emotional, raw and wasted vocals. It will. Even if 1 in 5 people hate a song, it won't get airplay..
VforVendetta 2,024
It will. Even if 1 in 5 people hate a song, it won't get airplay..Why though? Why wouldn't radio give Dope a chance? It definitely sounds radio-friendly to me.
Jee Yew Whai 1
Why though? Why wouldn't radio give Dope a chance? It definitely sounds radio-friendly to me. its so not radio friendly. Β you're just a stan.
Luc 4,775
Why though? Why wouldn't radio give Dope a chance? It definitely sounds radio-friendly to me. Why they wouldn't give it airplay in the first place: 1. It's a single after 2 singles that weren't received well by the GP 2. Its lyrical theme isn't radio-friendly 3. Its instrumental isnt very current, it doesn't sound like a hit at all Β Why they wouldn't give it a chance after that: Bad call-out score. If 1 in 5 hate the song, it'll fall down very fast in airplay. And DOPE is a song which actually a lot of people, including fans, hate.
VforVendetta 2,024
its so not radio friendly. Β you're just a stan. Maybe I am because it really sounds very radio friendly to me. Β All raw ballads are radio-friendly imo.

This doesn't mean that they won't definitely give it a chance 2. It's not the most radio-friendly lyrcs but they are not radio-unfriendly either 3. The instrumentla it on point and it sounds very current to me. Actually it sounds like something that is current but hasn't happened yet, like Gaga's biggest hits. Β The Gaga fans hate most songs ballads anyway, they are not a good example.

VforVendetta 2,024
Name a few raw ballads like DOPE that became hits in the US past 3 years... Someone Like You Stay Somebody That I Used to Know (it's not raw but it's a very simple ballad) Set Fire To The Rain (not exactly raw but still) Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had Β These come to my mind. but they were all sizable hits at least. After all I don't need to give you examples, it's time for Gaga to set some trends again and stop following them.
StarryNight 10,106
Imagine if Gaga actually was performing at the Eurovision somehow. #1 in all of Europe, Australia and Japan tbh Imagine Gaga performance on that huge stage inΒ Copenhagen

GagaMyBlood95 9,915
The gp is totally unpredictable... Sure, you can find some song radio friendly and things like that, but you can NEVER know if a song will become a hit or not...
