Not many people will say P!nk even tho she had the biggest hit (number wise along with Lorde) and the biggest album BY FAR. The media + the hype around Miley and Bey made them look a bit more successful than they actually were. Same for Lorde. TTAL is 6M BEYONCE is 3M and people will probably say that the latter was more successful .. The Era was extremely unsuccessful for Gaga's standarts but I don't think that Bangerz and Beyonce were much bigger. Beyonce sold a ot in the US but it hasn't sold good numbers at all WW and DIL was much smaller than Applause while the the Era didn't have any other successful singles. Bangerz obviously topped it but the lead in album sales is small and even if WCS is bigger than Applause it's not that bigger. WB is big etc but not as big as the buzz suggests. Pop fans and teenagers will say Bangerz or Yoncé Older demographic will probs say TTAL or Bangerz/PH depending on country (Pure Heroine was very successful in the US, but kinda local..) It might not have sold that much, but everybody knows that while Applaue felt like a non-event..
