Piano 0
It's used for a radio AND tv commercial so it's basically everywhere Why would you be glad any of her songs is flopping? Weird first post in this tread Because if it would have become a hit (not that it ever stood a chance since the song is mediocre at best), Gaga would continue making these tired electropop, semi-EDM tracks. Time for Gaga to explore new genres. Show off your vocals on a hit ballad, etc. All the other pop girls have shown their diversity musically. It's time she shows hers. Luc 4,775
Glad G.U.Y. is flopping. This era can't end quickly enough. New album, new sound. GUY flopping won't make the next album come any sooner.
Pierre 10,480
Glad G.U.Y. is flopping. As much as I want the ARTPOP era to end it's to see you happy because the song is flopping. :awkney: ❝Is not blue, not turquoise, not lapis. It's actually cerulean❞. Piano 0
GUY flopping won't make the next album come any sooner. It would be a stupid move to take another fairly long break after ARTPOP. So yeah, you are right. We probably won't get a new album anytime soon and G.U.Y. won't hurry up the process.

jhonyguy04 3
Funny how Everbody wanted Gaga to go back to edm when she was on btw. Ppl don't realist that the ARTPOP sound is the same TF/TFM sound. It's just that this time it didn't work for ARTPOP.
Mariano 958
The denial Of course music should cater to at least ONE audience. Why are Happy and Blurred Lines the biggest radio hits of all time? Not because they're just good songs, it's because Mainstream Rhythmic, Rhythmic AC, Mainstream Top40, Hot AC, AC, Urban, Urban AC play their music. That's all. Rolling in the Deep smashed because it appealed to so many formats, instead of the urban formats it appealed to more alternative formats and was more appealing to the AC/HAC audience than Happy for example. Rolling in the Deep appeals to lots of demographics. Poker Face smashed because it was so fresh from a fresh artist, and appealed so well (perhaps better than any other song) to the Pop audience. The album is for the biggest part for teenagers and young adults, while the description Gaga gives for the album is for art students and 40+ people, and the lyrics of a big part of the album aren't appealing to anybody but Gaga's fans and herself. The music is way too diverse too, she has a song that only (with exceptions, of course) appeals to a rap audience, J&D. DWUW is a mainstream R&B song, DOPE is an emotional ballad about d--g addiction. There's only a handful of people to which this album is appealing. That's a HUGE factor as to why this album is doing bad. Mess at you thinking she never catered towards a specific audience. The Fame, TFM were both catered towards the two bolted demographics while BTW was more catered towards a smaller audience (homos-xuals, but also more appealing to older matured people). ARTPOP fails at catering to a specific audience (or multiple, which makes the album have the potential to be as big as 21 or a song to be as big as Blurred Lines or Happy). bull****. Gaga is a pop star, Young teens are an audience by DEFAULT. A pop star doesn't have to cater to young teens Who do you think listens to pop music in the first place .. ? The most important thing is to appeal to as many people as possible. Good music does that best. Everyone loves good music.
Pierre 10,480
Men are having a great year. Avicci, Bastille, Pharrell, Derulo, John Legend. 641 upvotes that's big. Did it get spread around Twitter? can't believe that many monsters are voting. Can't have been GP for sure :sharon: ❝Is not blue, not turquoise, not lapis. It's actually cerulean❞. Go somewhere else. No. Besides Paparazzi and You & I, all of her other tracks are electropop. Considering most of the world hasn't even heard You & I, Paparazzi remains her only somewhat slower song that is a hit. She needs a hit ballad or something funky for her next single. But Gaga is horrible with incorporating past genres into her work (see: Born This Way) so I'd go with the hit ballad instead of funk. Something a la Halo / Bleeding Love. Horrible Gaga's ballads include Speechless, You and I, and Dope. They're perfect just the way they are. TEOG and Gypsy are power ballads and one has already proven to be a big hit. Halo and Bleeding Love don't even deserve to lick the boots of the songs I mentioned and Halo is actually my favourite Beyoncé track. Mess also at the BTW shade, that album perfectly encompassed past genres while keeping it modern and relatable.
