HermioneGranger 608
Gaga should really do some promo now. I know she is busy preparing for the tour, but she just has to do promo for this song.
MonsterMum 2,532
am i the onlyone to think that the album actually didn't flop??? 700k is quite well and when the tour kicks off the album will definetelly get platinum.. i only blame management not the singles!! i really like most ARTPOP singles.. what's the problem about them? she made them from her heart for us the fans not to satisfy the general public.. Welcome new Monster Keep that thought, I like your positivity. If she's happy I'm happy as well. If she's proud of her record then all power to it. And if not well then she better pull some sh!t together. I suppose they might realise that there is too little to be done at this point and let it die like a fish on dry land. They have a tour coming right up and with the rehearsals the time is limited. Either start the tour half arsed with half arsed performances due to doing promo work with a limited chance of GUY really taking off. Or focus on the tour completely and let GUY do it's run on it's own. Seeing where the money lies I can understand why they would choose to focus on her tour. Especially how it ended last time I bet they don't wanna take any chances. It would hurt her more if people would spend money going to see her live and say: "not going anymore really, she's lost it" then having 1 song underperform. Petros Bad Kid 0
i agree with you..but going back to november before the album was even bought by people, they were saying that the album is 'artflop' and because the applause did not get #1 like btw and poker face she is over it is sad to say this album flopped they compared her to katy perry and miley cyrus all the time I think that this album got a step forward as it was her most honnest album to date and she brought us new sounds ..i believe that people were not ready for this and will never be..they only want to hear mainstream singers such as katy and miley that their music is safe and radio friendly !!! really dissapointing! Luc 4,775
Gaga should cater the 12 years old girls or the 60 years old grandpas, aka the KP and Adele demographies with her next album. or just both. They're the only ones left that buy music. Just to look at the demographics, they're all generalisations so don't come to me if you're one of the many exceptions like a straight male Gaga fan seriously. They're all observations of me so they're not exactly accurate. 0-12 year olds M+F: parents'/friends' music taste, don't buy music. Play a much larger role in the holidays season. 12-18 year olds M straight: listen to (mainstream) rap, EDM, rock and some of them listen to Pop too. Don't buy music, listen to Alternative, AAA, Urban, Mainstream Rhythmic radio, regularly use Youtube 12-18 year olds F, M homos-xual: listen to (mainstream) Pop, some of them buy music, main demographic for iTunes (?), listen to Pop, HAC radio, mainstream Rhythmic, use Youtube and streaming services a lot 18-24 year olds M straight: listen to rap, EDM, rock. Some of them buy music, visit Youtube, but not as often as teenagers. Listen to Rhythmic, Urban, AC, Alternative, AAA. 18-24 year olds F, M homos-xual: listen to Pop, (EDM), mainstream Rap, some of them buy music. visit Youtube, but not as often as teenagers. Listen to Pop, HAC, mainstream Rhythmic radio. 24-50 year olds M straight: listen to rock, older hits, rap, slower Pop (Country in the US). The older, the less singles they buy and the more albums they buy. Listen to AC(?), Urban AC, Alternative, AAA, Rock/(US: Country), Rhythmic AC 24-50 year olds F (and male homos-xuals, but play a smaller role): Buy albums (and singles?) Listen to Pop/HAC (soccer moms?), AC, oldies, (US: Country) So yeah, in my opinion Gaga should simply go for the 13-24 year old female demographic. They are the ones that listen to Pop music the most and have the most impact on streaming services including Youtube, and also buy singles the most while having some impact on album sales. Adele's 21 was so successful because it appealed to all female demographics and older males. Katy Perry's singles smash so effortlessly because of her huge teenager appeal. The thing about ARTPOP is that the music has soul, and emotion in it. And in pop music, that's not "allowed". The general public would rather listen to something machine-like, for example a song from katy, than something that's pure and depicts' the artists' vulnerability. Like for example, in Swine when she sings "squealer, squealer, squeal out, your so disgusting" her voice literally turns disgusting and dirty. The amount of feeling it expesses is truly beyond. And those who said ARTPOP did not have enough "ART" in it clearly don't know sh*t about art, cuz art's about expressing feeling in the form of music, art, performance, or film. And that is exactly what ARTPOP does. Even "applause" has a little bit of dynamics in it. It gets louder during the last chorus and gaga said in some interview that it was done intentionally which is truly remarkable cuz pop music doesn't have dynamics. She literally broke the boundaries of pop, and that is why she's paying the consequences of that. But don't worry, the consequences will be worth it, when she changes the pop scene forever. Mariano 958
Gaga should simply release amazing music. She don't have to cater to anyone and she never did If anything she has to "cater" to everyone. Poker Face and Rolling in the deep didn't smash because they catered to a certain audience.. And that goes for most huge its and albums... Born This Way didn't sell 7M copies WW because it catered to Gays
