Applause was a hit, but it was no Wrecking Ball, Diamonds or Get Lucky. And I'm not sure about this, but their respective albums also did better with the exception of Ke$ha. I'm not saying Gaga is over cause she is not. People have albums that under perform all the time but I don't see how their eras compare. Except for JT, I don't think the albums did better WW, in the same amount of time that ARTPOP has been out. And no one on the list, other than JT, is doing a WW tour the size of Gaga's. Yeah...that isn't going to happen! And really, I don't want it to. I don't stan success. I'll take what I saw on the stream last night ANY DAY over the lip synching, Dr. Luke robot pop tarts! She can do it again, I think that success made her lose motivation a bit that is why her recent singles are not as strong. I put it differently. Back then she was focused on writing catchy songs and trying to catch the coming trend. Last two albums, she thought she could set trends and experiment how she liked. Mismanagement from the beginning of this era 2. DWUW didn't get a video, fans freaked out.. 3. Blackout during album cycle - worst thing... 4. Released a third single late when people already lost interest in the album... I have to agree with 2,3 and 4. :cryga: ❝Is not blue, not turquoise, not lapis. It's actually cerulean❞.
