I feel like this Rick Rubin type of stuff, production would be something great and extremely beneficial also. But not rock.

Ah the bright eyed hope of lil monsters  :kissga:

It could happen but at this point I don't expect anything to do well.  :ohno:

I wouldn't expect it to go #1 so late into the album cycle, but top ten is certainly achievable and that's enough for people to remember down the road. Plus, it's SUCH a radio friendly song, and radio support seems to be an even bigger indicator of whether or not people will remember the song than chart position.

And it's the reason why BTW is my top favourite album. I do enjoy rock music from Gaga - as long as it's simply incorporated and not entirely a departure from her dance/pop sound.

Agreed, I don't even listen to full on rock music :toofunny: But the rock incorporated in the songs on BTW gave the album a special feeling.

I agree the rock edge was great but Gaga has said she wants to keep making more ARTPOP (in terms of the music) and that all of her albums so far could be considered ARTPOP except BTW which she said was a special case, so I've taken that as a hint that she's planning on refining her signature sound for the next album or two rather than make another departure.

Then again it's Gaga so who knows. She could decide to make a polka album tomorrow just to piss off the execs.

Oh I agree that it is the best chance at a hit single but idk. Seems like anything she releases may flop just cause it's her. If GUY goes nowhere will Radio even bother with her next single after two messy one's?

I know what you mean but it's hard to imagine them not giving Gypsy a chance. Gaga is still a top-tier act and the song would almost definitely get great early feedback from test audiences which is one of the biggest factors in deciding whether or not to support a song early on.

And, unlike all three singles so far this era, Gypsy has major crossover potential with adult contemporary. DWUW would have had more crossover potential with rhythmic and urban but that was too far outside Gaga's "brand."

Not that I would mind her going full rock but I did just mean a more experimental rock edge like she did in the past.

Speechless is a Rock ballad, Dope is kinda one too and Princess Die (if ever released) could be an amazing rock ballad. Then ofc the is the rock stuff on BTW

She is good at rock and she always has been

Well ok, lets hope she releases it then and lets hope it's handled well.  :ohno:
