It's at #278 on iTunes. Its radio presence is still little + no Top 200 iTunes exposure = not selling much. It needs MAJOR promo spot on TV to sell noticeably.

In Australia yes. Considering it's a pop girl recession, yes.

But she does need more solid hits to come close to TD US sales.

In UK, she's sold just under 300k, way below TD level.

Hmmm, at this rate, Birthday is performing better than some actual singles despite not being released yet. And by the looks of it, it'll be yet another 3x platinum from her. And that's barely a flop. A flop is a single that couldn't enter the top 200 even with major promos.

I was surprised too when I've seen it out of the top 250. Probably a bunch of new releases pushed it down there. But as I've said, I didn't anticipate it'd be this fast nor would it drop more than 100 spots. Thankfully, we have Letterman to boost its sales sooner than later.

I think even with a slight boost from Letterman we have to accept that G.U.Y. is not going to advance the ARTPOP era in any significant way re charts and album sales. Even when the radio add date is reached (April 8th) I doubt that it will be played much. There just is not enough buzz around that song for radio to bother.

But that is not to say ARTPOP is a flop. Far from it. Worldwide sales are excellent. The tour is selling well and new dates will continue to be added. I love that Gaga is pacing herself realistically for these Roseland shows, and hope she continues doing that for the tour. I don't want her to exhaust herself. I hope she strips some songs back, doesn't push herself too hard with choreoography, and just has a ball performing! It is what she loves best!

I hope it gets the song to the top 200 at least.

BTW off topic but I have made 50 posts and don't know how to make posts. (Which I understand I am allowed to do now). Any mods around to advise me?

Anyways, I predict the next big smash will be Clean Bandit's Rather Be.

Especially because the girl in the song sounds IDENTICAL to ADELE.
