Why nothing on BTW album is timeless?

To me the entire thing sounds like regurgitated 80s backwash. True, there are a few songs that I like on it, and even greatly enjoy, but as a whole it's lacking and cheesy and not something I've ever enjoyed listening to. I feel it was forced, and she tried to hard, and it preached to me.

I know some regard it as her holy grail, and to that I respect those opinions, but smh at the dust given to TFM which will stand alone as the greatest album [of the 4 we have so far] she's ever released.

In my opinion ARTPOP > BTW > TFM but all opinion are acceptable. TFM is an amazing album anyway. I personally think that BTW is her most ambitious and pushing the limits work she has ever done regrdless of the fact that AP is my favorite album of hers till today. TFM has my favorite Lady Gaga song though, BR.

I think that with timeless he means Gaga's most memorable song when time passes, the song that will last the test of time.

Ah, to that side I'd probably say PF or BR, but both do sound dated.

Speechless is the least dated song she's released. YaI might be a close second.

Both Bad Romance and PokerFace sound very fresh to me after all that time tbh. Especially BR never ages for me. Anyway I don't think that iconic hits need to sound fresh to be iconic, most of them ate old after all. Billie Jean sound extremely dated and its still a very iconic Pop song, the same with Like a Prayer or Can't get you out of my head etc.

I agree, I mean, BR is in my top 3 Gaga songs. haha

I thought the OP meant timeless, as in not being able to be placed, because it's so expansive and fresh.

I agree. BTW was the most daring, pushing, and reckless album she's ever done. Unfortunately it cost her her career [or one heck of a bakclash].

Sonically and lyrically, what gaga does best, she did better than anything in TFM. AP would have been an excellent album to follow TFM. People were just not ready for something like BTW from her, I'm only going by how it appears to my. But, hopefully AP is a sign of gaga getting back to her roots and doing what she does best.

I don't really regret BTW because its one of the albums that has really touched me (and considering that I am not even gay that means a lot). I love the whole theme of the album that its like a journey on another world. I agree that BTW came too early in Gaga's career but I am completely against junk-food artists like Katy Perry so I am really proud of her. Anyone has his own favorite album though and I respect that you love that much TFM, its an amazing album and I love the music influences it has.
