Solar 604
Gaga songs in general make me feel like I'm a superstar for a moment no matter how relatable the lyrics are to me.
Ambrosia 3,775
It's not possible to like every single thing an artist puts out, even if you love the artist. You can't force music, either you get into it, or you don't. The thing is there's so many facets to Gaga, if you don't particularly care for one thing, you can focus on something else - like her live performances, the video(s), interviews, etc. There will be more music before long and it will be fun seeing what's in store. :) I don't take much notice of the lyrics, but the noises are pleasant You are a joy. Do not do to others what angers you if done to you by others. -Socrates
Gagz 2,579
I understand. I've never been able to "relate" to her lyrics really, but I love the music. ARTPOP is my favorite album and I've listened to it nonstop since November.
Ascetic 0
Well I doubt a lot of us even knew who Donatella Versace was...I doubt a lot of us have ever even performed before and the GP loved Applause. GUY is a power bottom anthem and the GP will love it. I understand people like music better when they relate to it but it's not the only factor that makes music fun to listen too... So you're saying you can relate to a highway unicorn, black jesus, electric chapel more? Oh, I don't really care for what GP will like, I'm just speaking from a personal point right now I don't really get too into her Fashion/love inspired tracks, but that's just me I prefer ballads for that And I don't relate to everything on the album, but I can enjoy it since it's catchier in terms of sound; for example, Scheiße is catchy but I don't relate to it (nor the title of sh*t, lol) Who said you had to get into an album to enjoy it? Appreciating =/= Enjoying

Runway 27,876
Gaga songs in general make me feel like I'm a superstar for a moment no matter how relatable the lyrics are to me. This exactly, thats why i love ARTPOP. She's so much more interesting than me so im glad i can't "relate" to her lyrics
MahoTheMnstr 141
See I kind of felt this way with Born This Way. As someone who is relatively secure with myself, not especially rebellious, and hasn't really been oppressed or bullied, I had a hard time relating to a lot of songs on Born This Way. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them still! This... I never really relate to songs that I like anyway cause when I do is usually in a depressing way and i hate that.. i like to be happy when i listen to music (that's probably why i don't like slow songs)

It's just not an album that can capture my life right now, you know?

But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them still! I really wasn't any of these things and I'm pretty secure with myself, but I suppose it did capture some of my worries at the time, as it was before I was going to UNI and was struggling between many decisions as to what I wanted to do and how I was going to fulfill my potential while I remained in the USA and chose to not go back to Europe to attend college :emma:

Ascetic 0
Boy you sound depressed, I bet you need to get MANiCURE! The funny thing is I'm at one of the happiest points in my life because I'm financially secure, am attending the university I want, and am finally exploring the major and career that I've been interested for about 6 years :emma:

I know I haven't a clue as to why people think I don't LIKE ARTPOP I like it, I just am not INTO it I appreciate it for what it is, a reflective album about Gaga's life for the past 2-3 years I'm just not completely immersed in it because it's not too reflective of myself, but I do find it catchy I wil admit though, things like the power bottom anthem are some that I skip though I think there's such a thing as taking music too seriously I could relate to a Bone Thugs n Harmony album, I'm not taking it too seriously :awkney:
