Anomaly 159
I'm the opposite. I relate to ARTPOP more than I should probably, but I do agree that BTW has a universal relatability that's a lot stronger than that of ARTPOP.
Babel 41,431
Do what you want is very relatable though Jk I'm talking about the real meaning of the song, not the s-xual-for-the-gp meaning.
PdogtheDaibutsu 717
I almost never relate to song lyrics. I enjoy them on the sound and energy they give me You can't enjoy TFM sistren.. I know I didn't know it was possible either haha
Ascetic 0
but did this need a thread? what are we supposed to discuss? OP has multiple topics: 1. BTW vs. ARTPOP as a whole 2. Album reliability 3. Is ARTPOP about being Gaga and just how much is it about being Gaga? 4. Would BTW be her most personal "fan driven" album for a while, or can she create another like it for acclaim? 5. What are your thoughts on each album? Do I have to create a written test? :emma:
Bambino 24,266
You don't have to relate to a song in order to like it, but it's your taste after all.
Voltaic 25
Boy you sound depressed, I bet you need to get MANiCURE!

Seeka 12,372
What is "relatable" sh!t I keep seeing everywhere? I like the song "I Shot the Sheriff" but I am pretty sure I have shot any law enforcement officers. I also like the song "Suteki da ne" even though I have no ****ing clue what it is about. If you don't like something, just say you don't like it. Also the thing is, I believe the exact opposite of what most people do. ARTPOP is for the fans, while Born this Way is for Gaga. Ascetic 0
go and listen to PRISM, it's more releatable than ARTPOP :hat: I enjoy pop, not the grinding sounds of a bubble gum machine :emma:
FATCAT 60,003
FATCAT will get mad if he sees that gif Lemme put it in a spoiler You saved yourself this time This kitten over here (meow)
SpadesToStart 3,444
See I kind of felt this way with Born This Way. As someone who is relatively secure with myself, not especially rebellious, and hasn't really been oppressed or bullied, I had a hard time relating to a lot of songs on Born This Way. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them still!
Ascetic 0
I understand where you're coming from. Born This Way was meant to empower others while ARTPOP was clearly written to empower Gaga herself. I guess it's just your mentality/taste/point in life that makes you like this album or not? Nothings wrong with that at all, it shows objectivity! That's good. I'm just very specific I suppose I prefer anthems more than fillers in my honest opinion I will say, TFM had good tracks, but it was more about HER experiences on tour, and I don't really translate into that kind of person BTW had far more personality in terms of "Hey, I've been experiencing the same things as you have, but we should unite and kick some a*s instead of moping around" I would have loved if ARTPOP had some experimental tracks with clean production like HML, though I suppose Aura is the steroid-ridden stepsister of it on ARTPOP
Brooklyn Nights 163
I find they are more relateable in a non literal way :) it's all up to your interpretation.
No Angel 128
TF/TFM are her best albums tho. Do I spot any lies? Nope.
Pierre 10,480
you have to be in the mood for ARTPOP. For example, I can hate MANiCURE one day and next day i'm jamming to it. ❝Is not blue, not turquoise, not lapis. It's actually cerulean❞.
