Anomaly 159
I think it's safe to say that she performed s-xual actions with some of the people she worked with early in her career to help get her to where she wanted to be. Back at the time, she thought it was normal to be in that type of situation, and the men in the music industry took advantage of her and she pretty much let it happen because she felt that was what was expected of her and that it was a normal, necessary precursor to her fame. I think you've got the right idea, thinking that reporting the person would not only give her bad publicity (i.e. "screwing her way to the top") but also ruin her career as well as the career of the "Swines" that she may have performed s-xual actions with. In the end, it would only hurt her, so it would have been best to bury the hatchet. Also, I guess it's a common thing for girls to be abused in the music industry; people on craigslist say that they're big-time producers just s other can get young girls to f*ck them. So not only would speaking out against the Swines damage Gaga's reputation and her career, but the claims could fall on deaf ears if not spoken about properly, and would do much more harm than good. codymonster 8,595
What parts of MTN are about rape? I must have missed something.. When she is in the hospital! She is hurt somehow, and the nurse tells her not to engage in s-xual activity for a while. So many people assumed she was s-xually abused or raped violently Plus when she gives the "blowjob" sign during the "I've still got my bedazzler" scene again pointed towards being forced into s-xual activities to break into the business. Whiskey Mouth 322
honestly, i don't think it's our place to speculate about something so personal. it seems incredibly disrespectful to me. can we just let this ago already?

lego 44,165
I was asking about this before too. I remember in old archives of GGD fans were talking about rumour that she was giving bj to Rob Fusari in some club and some girl who was with her was talking about that. I can't remember, if mods could dig this up? FreePalestine

Oh I never connected that.. is there not other things you have to avoid intamcy for though but I see what you're saying But there's a whole group of dancers all staring at her to intimidate her.. I'm pretty sure.. well at least here that action is like "cocksucker" and doing that sign without the mouth thing is calling a person a wanker as an insult [obvscan be using as a joshing but yeah]. Also, she's not gonna get ahead (pun not intended) in anyway but sucking off a dancer who's trying to make it also

rubytuesday 24
I think it's pretty safe to say that her saying "this is about rape" (as well as the consequent trauma, I don't remember exactly how she phrased it) before that performance is straight up admitting that's what happened to her??? I really don't think it's appropriate to try to slice and dice any details past that and I'm actually really offended at you implying that not reporting someone for s-xual violence is equivalent to "letting it slide" and being "unGaga." Discussing the performance is one thing but the extent to which you are speculating about the personal details of her life and the way in which you are doing so makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Whiskey Mouth 322
If she didn't want us discussing it, she wouldn't have said it onstage when all her fans were watching but she could have just as easily elaborated if she wanted to, and she hasn't. artRaver 3,188
It just seems very unGaga to let something like this slide and not defend herself, unless she did and we don't know about it, but I don't see how that would be possible. When something so traumatic happens to you a lot of the time you don't want to report because you don't think it'll do anything. Do you know how many rape victims that are too afraid to speak up because they don't want people shaming them, making fun of them and making it seem like it's their fault for why it happened. ✿ cherry blossom girl ✿

There probably is, ya! That was just one idea that many people had thought. And then with Swine, it seemed more and more likely that she was raped/ or something along those lines! That's also true about the bj sign! I never thought of it that way actually Good point!
WheresTheDoggo 11
if it's all true though i can't think just how much she had to do just to put out a song like Just Dance, it's horrifying just to think about it hey I'm Doggo :derpga:
codymonster 8,595
but she could have just as easily elaborated if she wanted to, and she hasn't. Of course she's not gonna actually tell us how she got raped As long as people are respectful of her, I see no reason not to explore the issue. She likes us to explore her music, and she wouldn't discuss being raped unless something along those lines happened.
BillieGOAT 5,216
By the way I don't think her saying "this song is about rape" confirms that she actually was raped. :toofunny:
Michael 533
I think she was maybe used by industry people for s-xual favours who promised her fame and fortune and obviously they just betrayed her trust completely and exploited her. In some sense I feel wrong and invasive for even wondering about this, but on the other hand I think that it's inevitable when Gaga is creating art around the subject matter, and if she didn't want people to talk about it then she wouldn't.
