Two consecutive non-top 10 entries would strongly imply that it'd be better to release a whole new set of music material than release singles from an album whose reception is arguably lukewarm at best. THANK YOU ARTPOP is not performing well enough to warrant 4 or 5 singles. We'll be lucky if G.U.Y makes it to the top 10, or even top 20, so I don't think releasing a 4th single would be wise. DWUW "underperformed" by Gaga standards of the past. Those days are past history. We don't know what Intersope's definition of underperforming is for a single. DWUW made it to the top 10 (#7 or #8) on CHR and was Gaga's first single to get into the top 10 on Rhythmic radio since Telephone. It also was in the top 5 in Canada and in several European countries, including the UK. With the sales from other countries and with it selling platinum in the U.S., all of that may very well have been seen as a successful single to Interscope. With that in mind, the real deciding factor for releasing singles is usually whether the album stays in the BB 200 or not. If G.U.Y. does well enough to help keep the album in the top 200, (along with the tour) they could release another single. If G.U.Y. ends up performing like DWUW, by going top 10 on CHR, selling Platinum and doing better than that outside of the U.S., I believe we will see another single from this album. I'm not here for her to rush release new work because of a couple crying fans. Let's let her do what she wants and stop with these threads.
