You are totally right on every level, and I've been discussing this matter here in the past, especially when I went to NY this summer, and I got to observe the "stan behavior" first hand. What was striking - and my mom, who is totally out of this stan system, remarked it as well - is that you always see the same old faces everywhere, everytime..... It gets to a point when you actually have to wonder if these people have a life of their own. I've been able to get quite a good picture with Gaga, and I've realized that entering a celebrity's "aura", in a way, makes you a little famous yourself. I've never had more likes/comments on FB and on LM.com before this picture, and people started following me or adding me as a friend for no reason. It was like I had reached a new level in the "Little Monsters hierarchy". And then it made me understand why these people keep on asking for selfies aaall the time: it gets to a point when it's not about Gaga anymore, but it's about them. The more they'll get close to her, the more they'll develop a little notoriety inside the fanbase - the more famous they become, in a way. And I use to call these fans the "Fame Monsters", because this is really what they are: they get close to Gaga and try to repeat their 15 minutes of fame over, and over, and over again. I've heard stories of the 'superior' fans lying about Gaga's location to 10 year old kids who just wanna meet their idol on the only time they have off from school. for the sake of a selfie. haha thank you When Gaga was doing the Jingle Bell Ball last Christmas I travelled all the way from Devon to London during the weekend, stood outside Langham at the same position for the whole morning and when Gaga came out, my bag got thrown away and I got pushed away as someone, suddenly came out of nowhere, claimed it's their spot. Maybe friendship shouldn't be in quotes, but sometimes its hard to tell the motives of people, so that's why I put it in quotes. I find it really unfair though because if someone is not in the "quote on quote" group, they're automatically an "outsider" and not really wanted to tag along (although tbh I haven't asked an "insider" personally).. Duh it's roseland EVERYONE knows where roseland is I'm not only talking about this one day though.. I know they're so selfish I live in NYC and I have never met her wanna try to find her one time? Dunk96 2,526 Posted March 18, 2014 Share Posted March 18, 2014 I look at all the people who've met Gaga,and I'm extremely jealous.I live in an area where Gaga rarely shows up in town out of the blue,and the only time she's in Vegas is when there's an event going on,whether her concert or if she shows up out of the blue(Britney's Planet Hollywood show). It's really sad that people are truly that sick in the head that they don't want to allow other fans to meet their idol because of their sick,selfish attitudes.If someone pushed me out of the way of meeting Gaga,I will not be afraid to punch them. In all honesty, NO SHADE, why do they make such an effort to keep anyone else from meeting her?
