Whispering 18,865
where is TTAL? It did sold more in 2013 than 2012. That's weird, even mediatraffic had it at 2.9M TTAL came out in September of 2012 and went through the 2012 holiday season. If it had 600K by December 31, 2012, then that explains it. As we know, mediatraffic is a rough guideline, but still, this gives you an idea of WW sales for Pink in 2012: 7. Pink - The Truth About Love RCA - 2,4 million copies

Mills 446
It's official then. ARTPOP did sell 2.3 million worldwide, given this is an official report of the IFPI, the most reputable source for global sales. Not bad for an album with one hit single. How does it matter if its sales or shipments, isnt the point of this the ranking? sales, shipments or happy meals the point is that Gaga's lowest point is just barely below Katy's peak, with a huge difference in promo, because whatever they are counting here, they are counting it for all the albums, the only difference is release dates This just shows Gaga's global appeal more than anything. On one hand, ARTPOP is still struggling to hit the 1 million mark in album sales in the US, a market wherein Katy Perry is pretty much more dominant - both in the current album sales and single sales. Neptune 156
Even with messy promo, ARTPOP is selling as much as other artists who are on a great phase in their career, like Katy and Beyoncé. This is actually amazing.
Mills 446
IFPI reports sales, not shipments. I am 99% sure. They were always the ones that were reporting album sales. Exactly. They've always been. While the figures from Vivendi may be disputed due to its association with UMG, it's ridiculous to dispute the numbers IFPI itself has presented - when almost all fanbases have based IFPI's numbers as the closest thing to being legit since time immemorial. It sold even more than PRISM

I think it was around 3.2 million back in July 2013. And it must have probably reached the 4 million mark right now.
