Ok ,so i live in Savannah and i've been begging my mom since december to allow me to go stay with my uncle in downtown Atlanta so i can catch the Phillips arena show .However my mom(who is a minister(and yes homophobic)) is determined to also attend the show if i go.Now if u all know gaga the way i do,its inevitable that there will be s-x,d--g,and homoerotic references throughout the show and i NOT out...yet.I really want to see the sow. What should I do?

Go without her knowing if you have to. Be brave and stand up for what you believe in to her. Its your life, not hers.

Let her come with you and when she sees you have a good time, she will be glad she let you!  :)

This is the problem I had for the Fame Ball, the Monster Ball 1.0, AND the Monster Ball 2.0. I missed all those opportunities to see her because my parents insisted on coming with me and I wasn't out to them yet... so I never went. :(  I finally came out and they're cool about it now. Granted my mother isn't a minister so I'm not sure what to tell you bud. Obviously your mother has heard of Gaga and knows some of what to expect at the show right?

Have her go with you and then if she wants you to leave, tell her no. Who cares if you're punished later? At least you'll get to go.

I don't really see how that would "out" you though.

Yes, there's a bunch of gays, but there's also a good amount of the clueless (presumably straight) GP.

17, your point?

Well, you can't go by yourself because you're underage. You have to be BRAVE and tell her that you're Gay/Bi and be happy :coffee:
