Perfect reaction.

what i like is she spinned it in a way i didnt think of, that puts things into perspective, i.e the different between going on a hunger strike for socio-political reasons and not because you want to be skinny.

Im team Demi whoever thought this was art is delusional

then tell me this, how is her fame monster interlude where the exact same thing happened any different/better? because she looked prettier? because we thought it was artifice? because swine wasnt written then?

Well, I am glad that the Demi angle is getting cut from all of this, as it was nothing about eating disorders, but that it was centered around rape and truly disturbing emotions. This is much worse to me and I don't like seeing this visually. Nothing I saw on this stage was beautiful. I was never a fan of Swine and maybe that is why, but NOW I think I will have to skip that song as I play the album. I can't be triggered by these emotions and it's unhealthy.

I struggle with the fact that Gaga put this out and used her pain in this way for show, but it's something that I never want to see or feel again.

Sex and dirtiness, Gaga displayed this well, but at a cost for me as a fan. I guess she could say that it was her intention, but that pain and reliving it every night or through a song, it's just not a good idea, to me.

Yes, to me.

I understand what you are saying.  Sometimes I think that whatever Gaga went through, there are other ways to handle her feelings of grief and pain.  There are some of us who have suffered and choose to chase away the darkness with light, not reliving pain over and over again.  That may work for Gaga, but it doesn't work for everyone and honestly, since it was such a serious subject, I'm wondering if some sort of warning couldn't been given at the beginning, like they do for TV shows and movies.

It's hard to tell how any one person would react to something with such strong dark emotions, so a heads up would have been nice.  I hope it didn't cost you as a fan in the end.  However if it did, that is totally within your right and you must do what is best for you.

She is very smart, the anorexia/hunger strike comment pretty much sums it all up. I hope gaga works with her again :legend:

Poor Demi just doesn't understand that the world doesn't revolve around her problems :(

this! she's so blind. she thinks everything's so simple - she see's a girl vomitting and the first thing she thinks of is bulimia. she obviously didn't get INTO the performance and has no idea what the song is about and what ART is. shes so annoying trying to look as an innocent young girl just stop u r not the only one with problems. (+ gaga has suffered EDs too so she has all the rights to include that in her work as it's a part of her *hopefully* past)

I updated the links in the OP :)

EDIT: They're the hyperlinks not the link at the bottom.

As much as I love Gaga I hated that part of the performance. I think Demi was right; it's just such a sensitive issue that its not really worth pushing the boundaries in performances like this.
