Rat Boy 43,017
Don't think you understand that this is a FESTIVAL, not a polished pop show. "****ing rat" - @Dynamite
Miky 9,482
For me it was artistically epic. Stop the pop star bullsh*t. Too many people here with moral superiority complex.
tokyodisko 0
You're talking about it as if she said BECAUSE not FOR though ? I see what you're saying, but I don't think she meant it that way. Yeah, same. I miss the Gaga that cared about giving a really good performance, that was a perfectionist when it came to stuff like this. I mean this performance was a mess. Not only does she not bother to stay sober for 3 hours, but her voice was terrible and it was so cringe-worthy to watch. Idk what to think anymore. I pray she gets her **** together for the artrave tbh. Me too... Her voice was bad. I love when she was precise and polished. Don't think you understand that this is a FESTIVAL, not a polished pop show. I completely understand it is a festival. Doesn't make it any more okay. I like festival performances a lot actually, but this set the bar low. She's done festivals before and they've been great compared to this.
MarcusBones 3,343
It's true though, Gaga has really changed since 2009. On her ideals, her values, what she maintains.. Personally I loved the performance, but I don't blame a lot of fans for checking stock on whether they want to be the same kind of fan. this is true. a lot of people don't realize sometimes how young Gaga really is, she blew up on the scene when she was just 22 and now she's about to be 28 remember that she's human and just like any normal person, her ideals, artistic vision, etc. has morphed/will continue to do so as she gets older naturally, she will lose several fans to this. it's understanding her progression and being on board with it that will make you a lifelong fan as Gaga's vision/esthetic has changed so drastically over the years. Will 0
If you want mediocre go stan for Britney and her stiff dance moves. I LOVED every minute of her SXSW performance.

I do love that she evolves, but this is so polar from her start. I would probably like her a lot now if she had been this way back then, but it's really just so disappointing from her. If it wasn't Gaga I would have liked it more, if that makes sense.
TraeumereiLPB 390
Am I the only one who liked the performance a lot? It was exactly what this festival needed, a carefree performance without too much gimmicks. The puke part was birlliant, a few weeks ago this girl was on television and explained her art and I was like: "Gaga needs to work with her again!" I don't see why this was any more shocking or wrong or disgusting than her VMA performance. So basically what people are saying is: Bleeding to death = Epic, colored vomit = Ew? I don't get it Gaga was so free and full of energy, I loved it! Of course you are free to express your opinion, but threads like this don't help anyone. It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

The thing is that I felt the whole performance was some power trip, fxck everyone gimmick. Like the puke- a total gimmick. Also: The blood was fake. The vomit had that anorexic girl's stomach acid all over it.
Hedi 3
this is true. a lot of people don't realize sometimes how young Gaga really is, she blew up on the scene when she was just 22 and now she's about to be 28 remember that she's human and just like any normal person, her ideals, artistic vision, etc. has morphed/will continue to do so as she gets older naturally, she will lose several fans to this. it's understanding her progression and being on board with it that will make you a lifelong fan as Gaga's vision/esthetic has changed so drastically over the years. Right. At the same time I don't think this performance is indicative of everything she'll do after, and personally I don't find it such a big deal, she just chose not to give a **** or choreograph as heavily with this set, but her doing the same kind of thing always is boring so I'm glad she played with things here and it was entertaining, and I enjoyed the fact it was raw. But yeah, I think it's natural for fans to react out of fear and sadness at the perception of losing something, an icon that represented and maintained certain values that they loved, and their reactions may come across as hate but at the same time I can see the human nature in it. Tokyo Rose 1,475
People keep saying what a great artistic statement it was, but look how DIVISIVE this has been in her OWN FANBASE. To me, that's not a good statement at all. Where is the integrity of this art?
