Interscope/Gaga issues?

I'm not insulting you. I just try to be realistic and I speak up only with facts. I guess that Interscope is composed by people and I guess that people don't like when someone spreads a rumor about them like if it was true.  :fat:

We are all blindly following what we see. We can only trust her or make stories in our minds   :ohwell:

If you want I'll give you the list of the CEO of Interscope, his email, and every head of marketing for every genre of music employed by Interscope and you find out for us? :emma:

Actually the label chose it and sent it to radio after seeing the initial positive response and expected a large seller.

Gaga and her label communicate about the choice of singles. They have the final say, but she switched quickly and jumped on board with the DWUW switch with both feet.

Venus was planned before Applause, label switched it.

Nope. Jimmy picked Applause before Gaga had even gotten close to finishing up Venus. The choice for first single was originally between Applause and another song.

Third single, but it was switched to G.U.Y. then back to Venus then to G.U.Y. then possibly MANiCURE.

No one knows what the third single was going to be/is going to be. It's all speculation. Labels do send out several songs to radio stations to ask for their input. That's easily what could have happened here, because that is a standard practice.

She doesn't have as much creative control as you think

.How would you know? I believe Gaga has a great deal of creative control, or we wouldn't have seen the videos, album covers, lyrical and performance choices we have seen in the past 5 years. What she doesn't have is final say on things like single choices or release dates. She has input, probably quite a bit, but no artist signed with a major has final say on those types of decisions.

Jimmy Iovine? Why would I want to do that? I'm not upset that Venus wasn't a single and why we he care anyway? What kind of hysterical fan sends an email to a CEO of a record company over something as silly as a single choice for a pop star? LOL

They supported her so much that they threw out the idea of Venus four times already

Your "fact" is what started the whole discussion, so don't act surprised when people discuss your made up "fact".

Venus wasn't the single four times. You made up a couple of those times (from where IDK?) and then speculated on another one. The only time Venus was switched was for DWUW.

That post was so dramatic lmao. They will not drop her over one performance. If anything, it's going to help her get in the publics eye again

yes, this will get headlines.

But this will not get the public to buy her current record, alas. Her fan base supports this, and it's cool.

But mark my words, this will not result in sales. Love it or hate, it's just the truth. The label only wants shocking if it creates more sales.

I didn't feel like this was an empowered performance. It felt more like a meltdown on stage - which was planned, of course.

But the song is not awesome. Paparazzi was a GOOD SONG and the shock factor helped it. Swine, on the other hand… Sorry. It's ok, just not great.
