Taking what's best about you as a unique creature, and sharing it with the world in the most positive way possible. (She also notes she's not the only one who practices "ARTPOP". In my opinion, Kanye, Beyonce, and other artist have done this as well). Because in today's society, no one but artists actually know anything about the art world. How many Monsters actually heard of Jeff or Marina or Bob Wilson before Gaga worked with them for AP? That is the whole point- to bring awareness to these artists/art she admires. People call her a copycat but she is just referencing art she admires. In pop music, a lot of artists are called "sell-outs" because their music is popular and commercial, but what Gaga means is she can still maintain her artistic integrity and still have popular music and be commercial. I mean, that's practically been her career so far. People actually think of Gaga as an artist, but yet she's a pop star. It means what Gaga says it means, to me. I am not ambitious enough to create my own deep meaning for ARTPOP. It's pop+art, or art in pop, or.. just recognizing that pop, too, is art in itself.
