I haven't been so enthralled and perplexed by a performance from her since her showcases at V fest etc back in...08/09???. I haven't seen anyone mention the fact that this b---h once staged offing herself on live television at the height of her hype as a new pop artist. Guess what. She just strengthed, deepend and completed her role as a pop icon with this perfomance - completely dividing her fanbase which she vowed and declared to do with this album. She just put herself on a spit roast at a festival, had a girl throw up on her, and splattered herself in matter that physcially made me wanna gag. She is extremely sophisticated in how she mixes it up as a pop artist from festival to festival, performance to performance, appearing as both someone out of control and difficult to comprehend and magnificent in the artifice she creates around and about herself - exposing fame/being a popstar for how it truly is. She hasn't neccesarily changed her game - and this performance wasn't without it's pitfalls - but **** she finally entertained me again. She's hard to stomach and not for the faint hearted who want her to be what she never was. I'm baffled, excited, a little bit worried and hooked once more. That Swine performance was absolutely disgusting but it was great and it got everyone talking about her again. The only thing that bugged me was that her vocals lacked at certain points throughout her set. As for people saying that she was too messy and rocky and sloppy, did you honestly expect a polished pop show at a festival that pays dust to pop music? She changed it up and became more rocky like she always does when she is performing at a festival (Lollapalooza, V Festival, Glastonbury). If she honestly performed songs like Fashion! or Donatella, wore glittery costumes and changed them after every 2-3 songs she would have been laughed and quite possibly boo'd out the building and would have received criticism for probably being too bubblegum pop at a festival like this. It was interesting to see the stark contrast between this performance of (mostly) the same songs from when they were performed at the iTunes festival. (no shade intended) RT this seemed a lot more natural and driven for gaga than a lot of her performances this era where she's juggling dancing and singing and trying to look good. this was gaga really feeling the performance, feeling the vibe. GagaSkeletonWay 2,080 Posted March 14, 2014 Share Posted March 14, 2014 The festival wasn't trash but I don't think it's something to be praised I mean it's okay that she does this, cause she is the festival mood and wants to have fun, shout, dance and stuff but as an artist this is not highlight in her career I didn't like it but I don't care cause I know that it's a festival and she was just having fun! I don't think that comments like "**** pop music" or "We are going to sing this one because we were told to" are okay, in my opinion they're disrespectful to us but I guess that doesn't matter to. The vomit thing was horrible and I think it can't be compared to the MB interlude, it's really different, and her vocals were awful. I have never seen a popstar do this, freaking wow. WOW. EDIT: and I CAN'T at the dirty bathwater. GURL THAT IS NOT GETTING CLEAN THAT IS WADING IN A VOMIT SWIMMING POOL OH MY WHAT. i get the tired/wasted/don't care, but you're WAY too comfy with bodily fluids on you. inb4 DWUW release and he pees in her mouth smh. still for it, but my god.
