I figured those two would especially attract more male fans!! I'm not surprised depending on the straight/gay mix of the questionnaires demographics. Stereotyping a bit obviously, but for many straight males Britney and Shakira are way too "Pop" whereas Gaga's music has a bit of an edge that is more likely to appeal. I guarantee straight males both appreciate how those women look though, even if they don't like the music. I'm a big Shakira fan, but only because I got into her music when she was still singing all in Spanish and it was more rock oriented. Post "Laundry Service" Shakira has not done much for me, although I though "Laundry Service" itself struck a really nice balance of pop with rock and world influences that I wish she would have stuck with. That comes across better on Youtube than Spotify. I've actually seen s-xy compilation videos on youtube for female pop stars, where the pop girl's actual music was replaced with some rap or rock sh*t. Like they don't even want to hear her voice.
