Didymus 34,379
During and after the BTW era this forum was filled with pure hatred towards it and the violent assumption that the ARTPOP era would show us true slayage, bringing the GP back, changing the game and exploding to the top of the charts with every release. Of course the era isn't over yet, but do you think the BTW era suddenly doesn't seem so bad to those people who trashed it all over the floor only half a year ago? In the light of current developments, how do y'all look back at the BTW era?
glockenpop 1
Yup I look back at the BTW era fondly now. It actually wasn't as bad as we thought tbh.
BLACKOUTbritney 22,356
An amazing era and by far my favourite. The lyrics, the production, the vocals, the fashion, the message, everything was just
Tyler 109
Born This Way was always going to be better than ARTPOP, in my opinion. I must be psychic
AlienFugitive 1
It's the era that brought her to current state.
artpopmess 369
What is there not to love about this era. There was always a single on the radio from february to december, there were flawless music videos plus many epic live performances and interviews. So what if two singles didn't chart as expected don't follow my instagram (trying out reverse psychology)
garnite 8
in terms of concept, no, born this way is just as ba--l to me as ARTPOP is. i think the albums are probably equally patchy but born this way has a bit more meat. i don't care about anything else like promotion or what have you, so that's as far as i've ever judged what she does. Yoshi 35
I think it had impact on gay rights, even if it was only minimal. I think thats the most important part for me, and probably for gaga. I just enjoy BTW's music more, and the fact that we had videos. I mean gaga is the staple person for them, and so far in this era its just been, barren. I never had a bad outlook on BTW, but I do appreciate more now
Guest
To be honest, if anything, now the BTW era looks like a well-promoted, themed and a wonderful era. But to be honest, I loved the BTW era back in the day nevertheless, so I didn't give a **** about such comments in the first place, but yes, the nostalgia's strong for this one... Yup, I even loved it despite the horrible outfits she wore - at least they were matching each other...
Pandora 162
BTW is a great iconic, chaotic, messy but fabulous era I loved it
bionic 49,831
No different. I'm not thankful for what we got because it was still a damn mess. At least BTW was full of iconic betrayal/meltdown moments. We've got NUTHING with artpop At least Judas continues to slay me stream bionic
Queen 99
I miss the incredible rock theme. The 80s and tackiness of the songs, outfits etc. was just so amazing and that's what I loved about BTW as a whole
Haroon 49,685
I wasn't active here during the BTW era so I didn't really see what went on but I loved the BTW era regardless of whatever's happened/happening with ARTPOP The only bumps in the road I remember are the music video for 'The Edge Of Glory' not going as planned and the hip injury which cut the tour short
HauntingHollow 4,310
Now BTW era looks like heavens ... You can not hide if nobody pays attention to you :*
