Bloody hooker 6,445
Tbh, I really don't see anything wrong with this, but the person who did this shouldn't have done it. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
Betty Who 62
If they had graffitied/defaced the grave itself, that would be really disrespectful. But by the looks of it people leave gifts there all the time, just so happens that ARTPOP is one of them now..
mcoop 628
Honestly, I do not approve at all. The Andy Warhol Museum and St. John Chrysostom Byzantine Catholic Church do. And that's all that matters.
TimisaMonster 31,073
His resurrection and ascension obviously. The Spring Awakening of the original Phoenix... Andy Warhol :udidnt: Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
ChasingGhosts 726
Andy lived Bowie and Madonna, if he were stil alive now I'm sure he's LOVE Gaga. She'd probably get him to make the album artwork instead of Jeff Born This Way > Joanne > The Fame Monster > The Fame > ARTPOP
BuzzcutSeason 3,307
Well POP-ART is ARTPOP backwards so it makes sense. i mean any General Person into art would think she just twisted that title and it wasn't very creative, there alike i guess so people can get over themselves. its not like its changes anything. i mean still, Someone bought ARTPOP ;)
Smooth Criminal 2
How exactly is this disrespectful? There are Campbell's soup cans on there which were his work. Putting an ARTPOP copy could symbolize how much impact he had in the world since ARTPOP exists because of him. I don't see the harm THIS. I don't find this to be disrespectful AT ALL. First off, it's removable. If his estate is offended, they can just pick it up from there and that's that. It's not like someone vandalized his grave or wrote something on it, which could cause damage or something! And THAT would be considered very disrespectful, but no such thing was done. It's more like an ode or an acknowledgement of Warhol's work since ARTPOP is so heavily inspired by him & his work. He was a great influence for Gaga & is revered by her so she made an album which is like an homage to his work. No harm done!
WheresTheDoggo 11
Tbh I would still find it creepy, mostly because I'm in my room at 4am and the last thing I wanna see rn is a live stream on graves. It's 4am here too and i don't find it creepy but then again i am a huge lover of art and what not Andy lived Bowie and Madonna, if he were stil alive now I'm sure he's LOVE Gaga. She'd probably get him to make the album artwork instead of Jeff the thing is, he wouldn't have ever lived til now, he was born in the 1920's and his brother only lived til 2010 so he would have never known of Gaga anyway sadly :( hey I'm Doggo :derpga:

pie-kun 1,765
They left ARTPOP there because it was obviously influenced largely by Warhol and Gaga herself has been influenced by Warhol since Day 1. I think it's an incredibly respectful gift, it shows how his influence has transcended the period in which he lived and how his work continues to inspire today. There are tons of other gifts on the grave, so it's obviously something they allow.

Dayman 6,169
That album is pretty much one huge tribute to Warhol and his ideas. So I don't see the harm...
Wild 1,296
The fact that people are saying it's disrespectful it's showing his influence on even today's culture
Prometheus 1,494
I want to watch and see if someone removes ARTPOP and replaces it with PRISM.
unfitted 0
Tbh, I really don't see anything wrong with this, but the person who did this shouldn't have done it. I agree. Putting ARTPOP on the grave of the creator of popart? Someone clearly had a bad purpose, I think.
