Luc 4,775
This only includes 18 countries True. But what other relevant countries are there? I can only think of: Australia (~30k sales) Netherlands (~10k sales) New Zealand (~6k sales) Germany (~60k sales) Russia (~10k sales) Portugal (~10k sales) Taiwan (~10k sales) Singapore (~5k sales) Indonesia (~5k sales) Philippines (~5k sales) Middle East (~10k sales) Other east-European countries (~30k sales) Other European countries (~30k sales) Other Latin American countries (~20k sales) South Africa (~5k) that adds up to an extra 246k. Luc 4,775
Actually, it clearly says sales not shipments. It's logical it's shipments. Gaga has, in the 3 markets were she promoted, sold 900k copies in 2013. If the 2,3M figure is true, ~35% of the album sales are from the 3 biggest markets. With Born This Way, 60% of the sales come from these markets. It's not logical that ARTPOP is doing better relatively to these 3 markets, while Applause was local to Japan/North America, and DWUW didn't happen anywhere while BTW smashed everywhere, Judas was a hit in Europe/Latin America and TeoG did great in some markets. Applause was local to North America and did okay in Japan, yet with these figures, 32% of the sales would come from these 2 markets while they make up for 50% of BTW's sales - while BTW had global singles, not a single as local as Applause.
